thank you! Yes, gender no longer has a "color" but why would anyone be upset because people want to use pink and or blue? Reverse bias

Would like to see how you styled it for the party! I've frogged a sweater and went through similar steps to reuse the yarn. Did the frogged sweater fit poorly? Mine was too big. I reknit it and it fits better now.

I’ve learned there are certain types of yarn I really don’t enjoy knitting with (acrylic, cotton, etc.) and it’s not always worth pushing through a project just for the product if the yarn is unpleasant for me to work with. I’d rather use yarn I enjoy since a sweater is such a time commitment 😊

I think is so interesting because I have tiny child size hands so I actually prefer the 4" needles. I like my wooden needles too because I have genetically soft and slippery skin from a condition I have so I like the grip. I also love my 9" circular Chiaogoos. I think it just goes to show that what we like and work for us is all very personal and subjective. But I'm with you that I don't use the bigger needles I have ever.

Great job! I’m working on the Jenny Jacket right now. I love that every 6th round I get to do something different. I agree with you that a garment that’s primarily stockinette might seem endless. A friend suggested I try working the sleeves with two short circular needles rather than magic loop. It works great and helps me avoid the laddering that I sometimes get with magic loop. I wonder if that might have been a good option for the sleeve area of your husband’s sweater. I think I’ll use it more often when working sleeves rather than magic loop.

I've been knitting for 2+ years now and love making washcloths, hats, and socks. I'm going to learn to knit my first sweater. But I am not over the fear of frogging part of a project because of a mistake or making a change because of fit. I haven't had much success before...loosing so many stitches! I need to get over the fear. My vote on the last garment...#2. You had so many good things to say and I think you'll get wear out of it this year. Also, it may be a good lesson to put aside the shiny new for awhile. I think we all need to practice self-control every once in a while.

You can pick up stitches in the middle of the knitting 100 times easier if you hold your knitting against the light instead of in your lap. You can also just use a 2mm long cable needle and immediately start knitting from mit.

My two most daunting projects were my husband's sweaters mostly because they were black and dark grey but also because they were knit in pieces and seamed. They took forever! That being said there isn't a more knit worthy person in my life. He loves his sweaters and wears them with pride. I knit the Rift by Jared Flood. Your husband's sweater turned out great! I'm so glad I found your lovely podcast...looking forward to watching back issues. Happy knitting from Ontario Canada. I think I counted four different nail colours, impressive! (😎)
