Unreal Engine itself is very titanically good 👍

I feel the best thing that i hope will come out of this, is now they can see, firsthand, areas where they can beef up training materials to get people educated on best/better practices.

This project was a dream come true. Truly an incredible experience. Hopefully "DesertMageTower" area hasn't caused too much heartache in the cleanup process.

@4:12 You mention that you guys plan on releasing the tool when it ships. Will you be releasing the environment as a sample as well? I remember joining the project in the beginning and loving the starting landscape you guys initially created.

I really wanted to participate in this.. sadly when I signed up about 2 weeks early, my account didn't get linked and I wasn't able to participate and there was no way for the people running the project to get the project link sent to me... hopefully they do something like this again
@lukasjech995417 сағат бұрын
probably not for next few years as it would mean throwing away the results of Titan because it's hard to manage multiple projects of this scale (and there will be updates to Titan done by Epic in upcoming unreal versions) .... but even so, I still hope there will be "Titan 2.0".

Yeah, I signed up as soon as the thing got announced and never got my link, very sad. Excited to explore and use the tech behind the project though!

For me it was a great honour to have participated and to have learned from the best. It is a very nice challenge and I hope that something like this is organised again so that we can all enjoy it together.

Hey I love unreal engine and you guys at epic are doing an incredible job with unreal engine! I want to ask if you can give us A much more powerful water system like under water currents. Large realistic waves that push the swimmer realistically. Fast and slow currents in rivers. Beautiful caustics . Well thanks for reading

Anyone got chapter markers they can provide? I want to understand how they managed version control with that many people.

Optimize your damn engine. Many UE5 games are so bad in terms of performance and visuals. They don't even have impressive visuals to justify the low framerate.
@OOsevenAlpha16 сағат бұрын
@@MarcusBuer It looks like you have no idea about new Ue5 games. have you ever played wukong, silent hill 2, Hellblade 2, Remnant 2, Stalker, First Descended? and there is more
@myasga16 сағат бұрын
@@MarcusBuer yeah 800x600 resolution with 50% screen size on dlss ultra performance + frame generator on 1k ladnscape terrain with RVT on top without any foliage. Nanite always perform worse than standard LOD system atm for game design. You need like milions of triangles to get improve than standard mesh.
@OOsevenAlpha15 сағат бұрын
@@MarcusBuer And you are telling me that all those developers don't know how to optimize a game?
@maronharaheta15 сағат бұрын
lol
@myasga14 сағат бұрын
@@MarcusBuer yes, but you can check 8k landscape test i did and you have clear point that enabling nanite give loss in fps(auto/Unreal settings). Also changing precision to have better fps - with less triangles make terrain unstable character can walk through edges if it is detailed with alot of elevation. Can you explain why is that with VSM and Lumen SM6 and DX12?
