Fingercymbaler, som spiller en central rolle i mavedansens historie, er ved at blive glemt. For at genoplive interessen har Oriental Festival Denmark i samarbejde med Suzzane Sofia Potempa startet Project Zills.
Projektet tilbyder onlineundervisning, hvor deltagerne lærer at spille og danse til A Cappella Musik, hvilket kræver både teknik og rytmisk præcision. Undervisningen suppleres med træningsvideoer, så deltagerne kan øve hjemme. Selvom de ikke trænede sammen fysisk, blev der skabt et fællesskab på tværs af landet, og passionen for både instrumentet og mavedansen blev genoplivet.

Finger cymbals, which play a central role in the history of belly dance, are at risk of being forgotten. To revive interest, Oriental Festival Denmark, in collaboration with Suzzane Sofia Potempa, has launched Project Zills.
The project offers online classes where participants learn to play and dance to A Cappella Music, which requires both technique and rhythmic precision. The classes are supplemented with training videos, allowing participants to practice at home. Although they do not train together in person, a sense of community has been created across the country, and the passion for both the instrument and belly dance has been revived.
