Ever since my "encounter" with a 12 ft white in Half Moon Bay, I've worked even harder and harder to understand and protect these beautiful fish. I hope one day to finally be on a research ship. Until then, I'll continue my own research and visits to your fin-tastic aquarium. See you again at the end of August. 💙

Good video, I as born and raised in Monterey, CA my dad worked on the Monterey Bay Aquarium I believe back in 1981 until it was completed. He had his own shop on the other side near Wave street and Cannery Row near my Grandfather's Plumbing shop since the 50's on Wave too, now it's a three story antique shop. That bay is known for great whites and I've seen a few jump out hunting. I have a friend from Nevada who's gone cage diving out in the Farallon Islands. That whole area is known as the red triangle for great whites for good reason. They are massive animals and I've seen quite a few off Marina and Watsonville CA beaches there's a huge concentration of harbor seal and elephant seal rockeries.I used to run on Del Monte Beach in Monterey a lot. Now living in Nevada I try to get down there as much as possible. My husband loves Santa Cruz so we try to go down there a lot. However I am not brave enough to get into that bay ever a lot of my friends have surfed there all their lives I stay on shore .

You know, I'm only 12. But every time I go to the Aquarium or go on your KZbin channel, I just feel like someone bigger. I feel like I'm right in the action when I'm there. So sincerely, thank you Monterey Bay Aquarium. Thank you for being awesome.

This was really interesting to watch! It can help educate some people more about these fascinating creatures and help them to understand them more and hopefully fear them less!

How do you report animal abuse in an aquarium? Specifically a for-profit franchise type of aquarium?
