So at 1:39:23, we hear a couple of engineers talking about dumping neutralizing agents in prep to defend against the cordium blowing up, and that it will 'balloon pressure somewhere else'. Guess that means that indirectly, the unexpected worldwide reactions from the cordium missiles were due to Faust's operation, and both sides played a hand in the new calamity. Good writing overall. Now I wonder, what the 'Thing' all mercenaries worship as holy would be. We do know Monarch gets it though.

I feel like it’s a node towards the cordium missiles based on the blaze dialogue occurring at the same time. If it is, my best guess is that the cordium weapons were under development during Oceania, and either tested by the federation or seized from the mercs during the invasion. It would also fit in more with the “continued in” at the end.

A couple answers to some FAQs: - The full game is available on PS5. Frontline-59 refers to the 6 missions exclusive to PS5. The game is called Project Wingman: Frontline-59 and is very misleading. - Frontline-59 is available to play in PSVR2 or flat-screen. The base game can not be played in VR on PS5: only the F59 missions.

Captain Torres vs General Faust. I would say Faust isn't quite as crazy, but it's close; only because she doesn't talk about mass murder like Torres (having finished the video, I take it back, she's just as crazy). Then again, if the Cordium plant gets bombed by the airship, who knows how big the blast will be and how many will die. I'm also happy that the developers put in more female characters in the game, and not just as named characters but also background aviators, marines, soldiers, etc. I also think I heard some members of Hitman team in the final mission at the start, unless it was just the same voice actors. Also, what the hell did the Roosevelt family do in this universe?!

I'm almost certain that was indeed Comic - the voice is very similar at least, and she mentions they've done this before. If I recall correctly, the refinery you hit when Crimson first shows up is also a cordium facility, with Comic as your backup slight edit, thats definitely not them. Comic was with you at Prospero, which seems to be the same general time as when you beat Faust here. Must've been the supporting merc squad that flew alongside you in the main game on that mission

Though even if she's just a fanatic, was she wrong ? If the missiles reached that place when she got shot down, the Federation still launched them first. She didn't do as much damage as the Federation did by activating the Ring of Fire, I skipped some parts so I'm not really sure she wasn't trying to do the same thing to the Federation by crashing her ship and activating the chain reaction, in the end the result of her invasion has just crippled their Cordium production, right ?

It tried to get its own independence and become a safe haven for the mercenary cabal, which led to the Oceania war that took place 15 years before the events of the Cascadian War. That one Roosevelt crew member at 1:49:00 didn't say Driver is Oceanic, they said Driver flies like he's a veteran of the war (which is not confirmed). Oceania is not destroyed, as far as we know, but it's definitely been beaten down after the last war.

Probably would make the offer a lot more sense, to me at least that the plane was something akin to a superfighter like in AC ADFX-1,2 X-2 etc. Especially when Crimson 1 pilots it, able to somewhat eliminate all of Monarch's allied presence. Not even your wingmen could be seen.

No I am almost certain that the PWMk1 for Monarch was salvaged from what's left from Crimson 1's PWMk1 after the final mission. Crimson's one is developed from Icarus Armoury after the SP34R so they shouldn't have anything to do with Oceania. Faust might be talking about the cordium warhead?

I went back and check older videos of people running the main campaign to ensure there have been no retcons, and it does show in the debriefing maps that Cascadia pushed into Magadan after Cold War and then were pushed out and lost the Bering Straight by the time of Consequences of Power, lining up with Magadan Front and Faust final mission. Looks like Sector D2 did outline some of the world events and potential engagements that were taking place during your run as Monarch in the main game.

Considering Magadan gets slammed by Cordium missiles, something tells me K-9 is not going home anytime soon. If they even have a home to go to still. Also, K-9 is a very nice reference to Wardog Squadron of AC5. A team of unknowns, almost completely unskilled fighting their way through incredible odds with a lead that's incredible by all means. Though one line makes it clear Driver may not all they seem - a veteran pilot of the Oceanian War perhaps? Not just any veteran pilot, but the line stated makes it clear they were referring to a sole pilot of incredible skill who may have single-handedly pushed things in the Federation's direction. Methinks Driver is that pilot who is now in their older age but still kept themselves on the docket as a reservist. They were probably not surprised the Cascadians rose up like this at all I bet.

I'm thinking either the founding documents & essentially the "deed" to own & resurrect Oceania as a mercenary nation with Cascadia as their closest ally or even vassal state... Or the PW Mk1 blueprints so that could be pressed into mass production by Sicario who would have the resources and political power to do so post war. Possibly both in combination with full Cascadian economic and material backing. Imagine Monarch and Assassin 1 ruling Oceania with a new round table made up of Hitman team and the rest of Sicario as the higher ups in government. And with an unstoppable air force of PW Mk1's Either way you have super powered mercenaries with accountability to no one as a result. That would fit with the whole world at war stuff she was talking about. Think Laplace's box from Gundam Unicorn but there's no Banagher or Mineva to try to balance idealism and altruism over self interest and power. Just Assassin 1, Monarch, Stardust, and the rest of the gang.

Honestly, I know this is mostly a matter of opinion, but I wholeheartedly disagree. It is stated in the game itself that the Federation is a gigantic oppressive megapower that went unchallenged for over a hundred years, using its might to crush anyone who opposed them, either militarily or politically by abusing their monopoly on Cordium thermal energy. In other words, those who don't join them willingly are either forced to (either through military might or political embargos, criplling the specific nation to the point joining the Federation is a necessity of survival) or coopted into it by the promises of riches and geo-thermal cordium based energy and security. The Federation also completely destroys the culture of any newly joined state, doing everything they can to replace it with their own, even going so far as to try and destroy any sense of nationality or pride an individual may have for their homeland and any unique culture they might have, to substitute it with the same feelings for the Federation (the peacekeeper squadrons are but a single byproduct of this invasive social engineering). And lets not forget, the Federation core states are straight up dystopian megacities, who the fuck would want to live there? They are the in game representation of the most imperialistic, invasive and colonizing force possible. Not to mention, Cascadia attempted to get rid of the Federation peacefully, but the Federation's response isn't to try and have some dialogue over it, or at the very least, try to maintain peaceful relations and trade, nope. They outright attempt to imprison or murder anyone that's a threat to their established control over Cascadia, and even goes so far as to keep the war under wraps for the rest of the world by completely cutting Cascadia off the telecommunication network. If everything went according to plan, the world wouldn't even know of the uprising. And the reason for that is simple: Cascadia had resources necessary for their expasionist agenda, resources they couldn't just let go, they couldn't take the risk, but still, the Federation was the one who started the war out of greed and necessity of control over Cascadia and its populace. The war was never fought for the people of Cascadia themselves, but for their own interests. Their nuking of Prospero is proof of this. Sure, there are individuals from both sides who are both good or bad (seriously, most mercs, if not ALL mercs, we included, are evil as fuck, as they commercialize war in such a way, human lives are nothing but extra money on a check at the end of the day, and they view this war as nothing but a job.) but when taking a look at each superpower themselves, ignoring the uniqueness and quirks of the individuals and their reasons for fighting the war, it is clear Cascadia has the moral high ground in the war. The Federation started a war exclusively out of greed and power, and anything that came their way (even in this new frontline 59 mission) is a result of their hubris. Sure, we can identify ourselves with the new characters, seeing their homeland invaded and the senseless slaughter of war, but NOTHING would have happened if the Federation didn't act like a tyrant, and just let Cascadia leave the Federation out of their own free will. For the Federation, the war was a means of control, and military and economic power. Losing Cascadia would mean losing influence, military and economic power, and that was not an option. For Cascadia, it was a matter of being freed from the control of a megapower tyranny and preventing their resources from being exploited for expansionist purposes. So yeah. Federation fighters might not be outright evil villains, but the Federation itself is. Cascadian fighters (either CIF or mercs) might not be outright good guys, but Cascadia itself is. Or at the very least, was, up until the end of the conflict, where Cascadia turned into a mercenary haven, which to me, sounds like Federation 2.0 bullshit. Just imagine, a country that hosts a massive military might via mercenaries, that just go around the world making profit from misery. But Cascadia was, from the beginning of the conflict, up to the very end, the undisputed good guy. It just sucks they had to sell their soul for the freedom they sought. Only a second game will say if it was worth it or if they turned into an even worse version of what they wanted to fight against.

The nuking of Prospero is an example, but so is the destruction of an entire nation's electrical grid (which, by the way, is far north enough that this could cause the civilian population to freeze to death).

No, Cascadia as a whole is not connected to these missions. Faust is an outlier; by the end, everyone in Cascadia hates her or was killed because of her. Her ranting (which is seriously annoying during that fight) remains a one-sided story, especially considering Vita's retort. We don't have enough information to make a determination that Cascadia is just as bad as the Federation. Besides, the Federation used cordium weapons of mass destruction... Cascadia has yet to do something similar.

ok, big question for the lore guys. what did they find in Oceania? the Cascadian's have it, stardust probably offered it to sicario, mercs worship it as holy. some people think the PW-MK.1, cant be that because the federation manufactured it. so its not Cascadian. however, the PW-MK.1 may have been based on prototype schematics discovered much like the ACG-01 manufacturing methods probably didn't survive calamity so PW-MK.1 might me an imperfect copy. some people also say the deal was the deed to Oceania, but i dont see how you could "use" that. or something else. could even be a PW-MK.2. if the feds used the prototype PW schematics to make the MK.1 the Cascadian's might have got closer to the prototypes original spec's with a MK.2. or perhaps there was one original PW manufactured to pre calamity specs which crashed during the first war. they could have offered the recovered airframe. i feel like it has something to do with the PW line of aircraft because, that's the name of the game...

I just can’t believe it’d be a plane. It feels so pedestrian. If Faust was that utterly terrified of it - willing to go on a suicide mission on the CHANCE to stop it from being used - then I can’t imagine it being a plane. Also there was no cordium exposed pre-Calamity, thus no cordium engines, thus no pre-war PWMK1 - which uses those. Plus, no plane can lead to a century of bloodshed. Whatever they gave them it can’t just be for Monarch’s benefit alone. The Mercs wouldn’t worship a singular person like that. If it was Cabal technology it’d be built to benefit them all presumably, not just one lonely signature. Whatever it is, it has to be a holy tool of destruction to people who believe in absolute freedom, and it has to be able to start a global war.

But imagine not the plane but the _blueprint_ for the plane, and mass-producing it for squadrons to use, squadrons all aligned either with the Federation or with Cascadia, and now we've got a problem. If this is the case, this could actually be a glimpse into an alternate timeline of AC5. It's very strongly hinted (though most fans seem to have not noticed) that Belka was supplying Yuktobania with the blueprints for the ADF-01 FALKEN, which we find in four separate facilities in the country, including an extremely sensitive manufacturing plant defended by an advanced radar system. Now imagine the entire Yuktobanian Air Force equipped with FALKENs... an entire armada of ACG-01s might be similarly, uh, _problematic_.

My first thought was an identity eraser/creator, but there's also the possibility that it was the ACG-01 (which canonically was discovered during the Oceania war), or not necessarily the deed to Oceania but rather the means to create a mercenary safe haven, a Cabal 2.0 of sorts. There's evidence for all three possibilities: Sicario goes missing after PW despite all of them still being present, especially Kaiser running Cascadia's mercenary corps; the ACG-01, as stated, was discovered in Oceania; and Cascadia creates that aforementioned mercenary corps, becoming a safe haven for mercenaries after the war. As of right now, though, we don't know if one of these, all of these, or something completely different is the Deal.

Those were planned to be mass produced in Cascadia before the war but they didn’t ever make it into Cascadian national guard hands in the end. Check the PW wiki page for the Chimera, they state that Cascadia knew and it’s not some big secret that Faust will die for. Also your argument is undercut by the simple fact that the ACG-01 Chimera fucking sucks and there’s absolutely no way Faust would lose her fleet over that thing. Are you joking it’s the worst experimental plane in the game that thing is an abomination I’ve never died more than I do flying it. If Stardust handed me a briefcase with that inside I’d shoot him dead on the spot then get in my far superior VX-23 and fly away. The ACG-01 is a nightmare plane absolute garbage. I don’t care if the developers call it the “Forbidden last will” of the Cabal, it’s barely flyable let alone battle worthy. Might as well fly up in a helicopter at least it’s a smaller target watch out that wingspan might scrape the moon if you tilt to far back. Waste of money Mercenary scrap heap if I find out that’s the Deal in a prospective sequel I’m going to get into a real plane and redecorate a city like it’s September again. Cordium nukes might’ve worked but it would need to be something that would be like… almost more apocalyptic. The way she talks about it makes it sound like it’s an impossibly brutal option. Whatever it is it can’t just be for one nation, but it’d likely be something capable of reshaping the world order and destroying everything built in the World on Fire.
