Just a question for you Kevin I know the 205 mile an hour car had the wheel wells cut out but I was wondering if your aerodynamics wouldn't be better without the whole setup for the wheels? I mean if I were you I would order up another body like yours and trim it down but not cut out where the wheel wells are and leave everything completely covered for better aerodynamics. I realize I could be wrong with this comment but I'm just asking a question. And I am only suggesting this because some of the land speed record cars had covered wheel wells

One of my favorite things about watching Kev's videos. He rarely takes the safe route, using things that are meant for each other, things designed and known to work together. His "I have no idea if this is going to work or not." attitude is one of the things that make his channel so great!

I think if its done properly wheel cut outs are beneficial (and basically all faster race cars like lmp1, lmp2 and most gt3 cars use some sort of those). But on rc cars its probably a different story since the body allows air to flow through anyways. Or something like that

Kev, ur doing the Diff Ring/Pinion mesh a bit wrong. Just like with Spur/Motor Pinion mesh, you want it to be ever so slightly loose instead of ever so slightly tight, so the drivetrain spins without resistance. I think one less shim on the Diff Pinion might be just about perfect.

And with these rc products they won't likely be micro polished, it would be a good idea to actually get a polishing compound and bed in the gears. He could also get a rc Dyno and just test different shining for power, just use a small motor for the testing

@@xrymes4450 how do you think they tune brushed motors? Clocking the armature/brushes makes a big difference in measured power. My neighbor took his Dyno to the races to make sure that the motor he put in was tweaked right. No reason why it couldn't be used to tune a differential. Frankly, I would be ditching the diffs and going belt drive in this scenario, but that's me
