This should be one of the first things that should be inspected when a person acquires any Jeep with a 4 liter, as it's so easy to inspect as we can see the splitting/separating between the inner and outer part when it begins to fail. Should it split and fail it can/will damage the radiator and everything that it's close to. Once again, thank you Aaron as I need to inspect this on my girlfriends WJ she literally just bought today as it has the 4 liter. Secret to the main is to rest the breaker on the frame or steering box and turning the motor over with the starter. I had to do this on my 5.2 Magnum powered '97 ZJ LTD. It won't harm anything if done correctly.
