I sold my 66 "D" Dart one of 48 made for racing only to collector Mike Barber in Brunswick, Ga . My car was number 23 in that hand made run. The 275HP 273 Race motor was long gone, but the 4 speed was still there. I replaced it with a 4.00 inch crank W2 Stroker roller motor. It was a perfect car that had 1,800 miles on it and it was garaged since new.

DDartDude’s my father. He has owned 3 total D-Darts and currently owns two. If you check out my videos the red and white car is Ted Spehar’s old car (raced as the Politician back in the day) with its original 275 HP 273. I’m going to upload his white car with a MP 360 crate motor in a few minutes. My dad just texted me that Mike is putting a big block in that car apparently???

They had true asbestos shoes that worked better than anything else ever. My best friend in high school had a 383 Newport that would stop on a dime and have change left over. Couldn't get the good stuff anymore, so we put what we could get on it. It wouldn't stop for nothing after that.

Hey I got the 2.94 right! .... I had a 2.45 in my Cordoba. Car would do 125mph easy.....now 3.23 sure grip 8 3/4 I got a set of slapper bar same as on yard dart...my buddy who passed love them for the looks and he loved side pipes too!

@scotts speed shop. Tell Mike on them led headlight bulbs you gotta rotate them at night to set the beam pattern correctly or you'll be there all day trying to adjust them

55 mph is about 3000 rpm with that gear. Same gear I had on a '74 Satellite with 318. That gear ratio really woke the car up.

My buddy's Sport Fury had a 2.94 gear from the factory with a 318 Poly, and I have seen them behind 383 2bbls without A/C, many with A/C got 2.76s, in my experience. The absolute worst B-body (actually a late B, called an "R" body) gear I've seen was 2.45 and the worst FMJ (Volare/Aspen/Diplomat/5th Avenue) gear was 2.20:1!!!!

New gears are sweet , hell yeah 👍 , it's like a whole new car man , you just gotta change the plastic gear on the speedometer to match tire size and gear ratio . You know all that info is in most of your original big thick manuals 💯 , the ones that you pay over 1 hundred dollars for that doesn't come with the car , well like factory service manuals . I got plenty , I could tell you which one it is if I knew tire size 💯 great video brother 💯👍🏁

I had that pancake compressor . a buddy needed a compressor so I sold it to him and up graded to the HF 22 gal compressor 😎👍. I'll get that part mailed out tomorrow for ya. I got a sweet deal on an adjustable pinion snubber for my 65 darts 8-3/4 at MOKAN drag way this year $20.00 👍

You can go faster with 2.94 gears then you can with 3.91 gears just takes a bit longer to get up there but you go faster

The clutch is getting weak, but I do not plan on doing that until I have the time to go through the engine as well. I cannot do cold starts and drives in the car, that stuff is just boring to me, and I got too many other projects going on to tear another car apart.

i have 4 :10 gears with a stroked 454 with tunnel ram it not idea gears for a bb but it's a lot of fun there is no need to power break here but u do have to feather the pedal or ur going to slow down . driving it on the streets u don't want a cop by u way to easy to lay rubber so far i have not had it pass 3/4 throttle need better traction

Had a 4.56 in my 65 273 4 speed Barracuda formula S and it ran like a raped ape from stoplight to stoplight. One thing I will add tho' is if you plan on cranking on it hard have some spare push rods because 273s love to bend push rods.

My truck ..2002 Dodge Ram 1500 has 391 factory rear gear An I think in glove compartment where it states it’s a 391 .. what would it be called a suregrip or limited slip or posi trac .. both wheels turn forward together when on hoist an it always lays posi rubber .. but what’s the difference between sure grip limited slip an posi trac ?

They are all the same, just different trade marked names used by different companies. Chevrolet is posi-trac, Mopar is sure grip, AMC is twin grip. They all refer to the same basic rear end configuration

Question for you ... I have a 73 satellite Sebring plus and I have it warming up the other morning. I turned on the lights and about 15 seconds later everything went dead.... engine no crank, no lights no horn, no cigarette lighter... I tried jumping red and black wires on amp meter and still no power.......I have not checked anything after that. I’m stuck ... any suggestions?

French guy here i m sorry about that stupid question but what s the name of the thing you were waiting for the paint to dry on (the thing that has a rubber bushing to prevent the third member from hitting the frame)? i will be changing my rear end too and the bushing on it is completly cracked. so if i have to order a new one it would help knowing what i should be looking for

I ll also have to find a correct u joint and figure out how to remove the current on from my drive shaft
