Re occupation & spawnpoints (6:30): it is not necessary to copy-paste the unemployed spawnpoints for each occupation. If a specific occupation does not have a list of spawnpoints in the script, the game will default to the unemployed spawnpoints instead.

Following this to a T on my new server, and the spawns keep defaulting to Riverside... Trying to get the custom spawns and add my main base to the lists for each occupation. Got the occupation IDs, each custom spawn is visible for each occupation, however the game is defaulting to the 4 vanilla locations... Scratching my head on this one.

How do i add a challenge map to normal map? I want to add the old map in the world map, the one with Baldspot house just because when i first played zomboid i always choose my base down to the tools store and i want to make my base there too or maybe in the house but i don't want to play the challenge and i would like to have a more big area, to drive to another city

you basically dont. it requires the mod itself to override a tile someplace on the vanilla map.

is this only recommended for a fresh server? i tried to add the bed for falls , but it seems like it overwrite a lot of areas, that's why it's only added partially in the world. Should I soft rest my world?

If Bedford Falls is your only map mod, it doesn’t overwrite any area. It is a completely new area to the south.

Good news. By default, there aren’t new spawns added when you install these maps. That is something you do if you wish

My tutorial does work for hosted servers, however, the hosted server will look a little different.

So I downloaded bedford with, Raven Creek and Fort Benning, but when I spawn only Fort Benning pops

This may be because the other Map mods may not include spawn points. You most likely have to create the spawn points yourself.

Yes, but you'll need to make sure you have backed up all of the settings you want. You'll want to write down all of your MOD IDs and Workshop IDs (if you have any) and make sure you remember your server settings. Because, in order to start the server clean you will have to navigate to your C:/User/Zomboid folder and delete the entire Zomboid folder. That will start the server fresh.

Cool, but you didn't actually show when you join in, make character, and select spawn point to verify that's working. I mean.... that's what I'd do to be sure that your spawn point is working. That's the problem I've been having, cuz it seems like the map mods are indeed adding the areas, but not the spawn points.

Sorry I’m a bit confused, did you watch the end of the video? I created a character and selected my custom spawn point at the soccer field and spawned in. Am I missing something about your question?

@@felkmane there is a folder in the project zomboid mod folder that has the spawn locations for that mod. but still trying to get it right on my server been spawning in a bar near loui but its supposed to be near mul

This is for testing purposes. If you do not set MapAllKnown to True, then when you load into your server to test and see if your map mod is working properly, you won't see it on the map and it will be harder to 'guess teleport' to it. Once you've determined the map mod is installed and working properly, you can disable MapAllKnown.
