Worth mentioning the ability to shoot through wire/barred fences. Can't build many of them, but at key points they can be useful.

Metalworking materials aren't hard to find at all. Almost every garage has them, you can disassemble half of the map for metal, every car wreck, every wire fence, every metal shelve is a source of it

Another video to talk about would be either walls strength or sound creation, I sneak and stealth my way through the location but the zomboids just start banging against a wall because of a lightning storm. If that was the case they should also do that to other houses or even set off home alarms?

Its ok though, we will just sit on hunting, chickens, higher floors, performance increaces, and a crafting overhaul for another 8 months for build 42 even though its already been completed

I was once so excited to grind out metalworking on a friends server only to later find out metal walls get outclassed by wooden walls and even more so with the handy trait.

am I the only person who just removes the hood or part of their vehicle and just replace it with a other one... I rather just steal a new hood and put it on then using some metal to repair it. also the repair % you get goes down pretty fast after a few times. you only need mechanic skill and less resources by just replacing it...

@@Neskess oh, I like to go around and strip every car I can find. I try maintain a few vehicles and keep replacing parts. I dont like to "retire" cars. I love it when I am a few months in and just have all cars stripped down in town and I have like 7 hoods and loads of extra perfermence parts. Metal crates work great for storing those items. I also play with organized and its so much space and its insane. If you build 12 you will have 1200 units of storage.... (Each crate gets 100 with organized what is really great)

Love ur videos - this one and the tips and the comments about devs! I hope you advise how to use other skills too. Is Foraging useful? Or Fishing? Cooking? (We all know these 3 are bad but what about the marginal skills? I don’t even know what Cooking and Farming levels do)

I will say, having metal crates is really nice for a hoarder like myself. Metal fences are also kinda neat. Overall though, yeah it's not that valuable of a skill. Metal walls especially are SOOO not worth it. They're really expensive and only have 1000 health compared to lvl 3 wood walls which have 700, or 800 with handy. A metal base does make a fun project though.

I can't tell if you are joking or not. 80 space on metal vs "only" 40 in wooden crate? Unless there is some exploit that zombies can't attack metal crates or something that I'm not aware of? I'm pretty sure metal crates can burn down in a fire just the same as wooden ones! They are completely useless! When has anyone ever run out of storage space in their base in this game? It's not like we are short on tiles!

I'm guessing the developers had ideas about using metalworking to improve cars(armor, etc.) and just never got around to putting it into the game.

B42 seems that will have not just the introduction of the framework for NPCs (With B42 adding Animal NPCs to give players a way to test it), but TONS of QoL and Performance improvements, such as new rendering system (Lighten the CPU load), FoV and FoW behavior (To not cause issues due to the new rendering), and a full blown update to make DOORS have animations, which also most likely will FINALLY have the Vanilla vehicles SHOW that the door is closed or not (A big Gripe Retanauru had towards Vanilla style Vehicles, when modded ones had fully animated everything of the cars). So yeah, PZ will probably one day see a further in-depth rework of what some crafting related skills are used for

If I am based up anywhere that has large windows on the ground floor like the fire station, it's aesthetically pleasing to put metal sheet barricadeson all those type of windows. Sure, it blocks your vision, but that's what the second floor is for, right???

A bit late, but no It's not. I find that the farming skill barely matters and with a skill book read you can get 2 levels easily every time you harvest your crops anyway. I believe carrots are the fastest growing vegetable so just farm them and you can get level 10 with no traits fairly soon.

TBH its a skill i don't use because its men't for years later when all near by towns are empty because the extra crops just don't help with much and can't increase your wait @@hody.8381

Farming cabbages is great, it takes so little effort if you plant in the rain, you can gain weight purely on cabbages, you dont even need to carry water anymore. You get infinite seeds for more cabbages.

This is one of the more boring games you could possibly play. Theres nothing to this game, albeit it does have a ton of options, its just dumb in all aspects. Whew...zombies...soo original. Its outdated. Full of bugs and glitches. Horrific fps. Game play gets old super fast. In a nutshell this is all you will ever do. hide, sneak, run from zombies. look in crates and other crap, othousands and thousands of times. kill braindead zombies over and over. wonky mechanics, even worse fighting mechanics. no development from the devs. In theory the game sounds fun, but its soo repetious that it never takes long to begin thinking, this is boring af and i could be having fun doing something else. Mods dont cure the boredom. Zombies just walk around aimlessly, no weapons, just hold their arms out like youd imagine and walk in a straight line. BONK. Rinse & repeat forever. Seriously, FOREVER.
