I took a trip to the former bus garage belonging to my home district of Cabell County Schools, WV. I'm not sure why they keep that bus around, as it isn't being used for storage, but it still remains there for some reason.

If youd pay attention to what I say in the video, it is filmed on location at the old Cabell County Schools bus lot, where only Cabell County buses park.

Washington county md schools has a 2003 international ce 300 which is a spare.

Is this a "big bus"? If a district or operator gets the odd call for a bus with outsize capacity, they may keep a "big bus" (like the Thomas HDX or their competition from Blue Bird or AmTran) around - PGCPS had four HDXes (bought with MCPS) that they kept around specifically for that reason (one for each of their high schools' athletic departments); they have culled them since and replaced them with standard-sized non-transits (two per high school; they now have NO transits in the bus fleet).

Very wierd. There's is a nieborboring district that had a 1989 AA FE sitting behind one of thier Schools for a while. Kinda weird how some districts just gave a random old bus🤣. Lol

They're usually used for parts/storage, but all this one has in it is its own crossing arm and some large torn up cardboard boxes lol

@@mswerdna I would if it hadnt sat for so long. Its safe to say that all of the rubber on it is dry rotted and the interior is super moldy. It would take a lot of money to get back into decent shape

@@Project681 It's a shame but yeah it makes sense. Kinda funny that when I look at older videos you have of this bus it is in the exact. Same. Place. They haven't moved it an inch in 6 or so years. Heck, the doors are in the same position lol.
