The next day comes and the team is getting ready to follow the tracking device and get the car back from the clutches of the Stalker. Matt, Woods and CJ take a drive up to a very abandoned part of the city to try and map out where they last got a ping from the Mountaineer, scouting out some areas that are pretty spooky and desolate. When they finally, and safely, locate what they were looking for, the relief is cut short with a bombshell that Kevin drops on them, something that makes Matt question everything about the investigation so far.

It was a long night, and the team begrudgingly has returned to the studio the next morning to try and see if it's worth it to actually follow the Stalker and get the car back.

Matt uses the tracking app to look back at the path the car took the previous night, showing where it disappeared to before the signal was cut off.
05:50 - Where The Last Ping Was -
With a clear area to look through, Matt and Woods go over all the possible locations that the car could be hiding or where the Stalker might have driven it.

As the team drives up to the road, there is quite a lot of adrenaline and anxiety that's wafting in the air of the Tesla, mixed with all the questions that they all have had since the previous night.
11:10 - Retracing His Steps -
It's trivia time with Woods and Matt as they head down the stretch of road to their first location, and you'll hear some fun facts about the area along the way!
14:37 - First Stop: Abandoned Highway -
The team takes a walk on the wild side and goes down an abandoned road, on foot, hoping to catch a glimpse of any evidence that the car came through there.
17:41 - M-Team Bounty Hunters? -
The team packs it up and heads further down the highway, with a sense of purpose in their mission.
19:13 - Break Out The Drone! -
In order to play it safe, Woods breaks out a drone to record by the other possible location the car could be in, just in case there are other people nearby.
21:23 - There She Is -
The drone catches sight on their runaway car, parked next to the Spooky House. While taking advantage of their distance, Woods uses the drone to try and get as close as possible, to see if anyone is inside as well as if anyone is watching.
22:53 - A Closer Look -
After putting away the drone, the team decided to take a peak up close and personal with the Mountaineer to oversee the surroundings and see if possibly anyone is in it.
26:32 - Kevin's Message -
If what was going on wasn't crazy enough, Kevin's find with information from the previous night absolutely takes the cake.

In the criminal world, there's an action called "stealing the peek", where a person will use a device that can detect what PKE Frequency the fob uses, and can then replicate it. This is an old technique that is used to steal cars without ACTUALLY breaking in. Meaning he very well could've been hiding nearby when someone used their fob and copied it to a different device. For all we know, he could have a copy of everyone's fob on different programmed chips. [Can someone put this in the subreddit? Or make sure Matt can see it]

It’s not woods, woods was on the roof when syphus left with the car, he caught everything on camera it may be coincidence that woods and syphus both know the spot but syphus probably made a duplicate key of woods so that the key wouldn’t get deactivated because woods of course works there and the syphus last key got deactivated- it’s possible to duplicate fob keys because all the fob key reader is doing is reading a code in the fob and granting access to the right entry code.

What I don't understand is how Kevin knew to check out the logs. At the beginning Matt said that nobody knew and in the car he said that Kevin didn't know where he was going. So why would Kevin be checking the logs? Also, if it was woods, why would he need this whole charade? He can get in and out whenever he wants. I'm kinda Sus about Sam though. She tried throwing woods under the bus with his camera skills in the last video....maybe because she was worried? She left the door so he could get in the last time and she was too exhausted to be in this video....maybe because she was checking out a car all night?!

I'm thinking the same exact thing about Kevin, as security he could possibly change the logs so that woods was the one that was sus, and after seeing the next video I think that it is a very good possibility that kevin knew what they were doing, odd because in the previous video, matt had said he would have everyone leave early, but didn't say why, perhaps Kevin was trying to act as if he was Syphus, and then on the other hand he was trying to play the good security guard, explaining how he might have known about the plan in the editing office, even though there were no small cameras in it. Kevin is definitely sus, but I don't think it is sam since she is only 21, everything they are exploring seems to be years old.

Second, Woods couldn’t have driven it away. Maybe Woods knows the ‘stalker’ and gave him the fob or a copy of it. There is also the chance that Woods maybe dropped it and then the stalker picked it up but then he would have picked it up so we would probably know. If worlds knows the stalker maybe he told the stalker about the spot. Or maybe the stalker told him about it and Woods made up a story about it. I guess either way if woods knew about the stalker going there he decided to rat him out.

Again, I think Syphus has access to your current security system. He most definitely took Wood's old keyfob that Woods lost and reactivated (if it was ever deactivated). There's no way it could be Woods. If it was, why would he play along for this length of time? How would you explain the footage of Woods on the roof as someone else drives away with the car? Woods reaction was completely genuine. Also remember the keys that started it all, were in a safe in the drywall before anyone of Hi5 was there. But perhaps, Syphus is working undercover at Hi5?

Plus, we saw from his point of view in the last video, he was on the roof while the stalker was on the ground. How could he be in two places at once? Another thing, the tone in his voice was NOT fake. Woods felt so guilty for what had happened. Also, didn't Woods say that he lost his key fob? Ok one: if it weren’t for woods you guys wouldn’t have known Syphus was there to begin with. If he’s involved why would he rat out his partner in crime. Two: woods was on the roof at the time and you have proof that he was there. He was recording the whole thing. #3: and this is crucial Matthias, WOODS LOST HIS KEY FOB MONTHS AGO! SYPHUS COULDVE EASILY FOUND IT ONE OF THE TIMES HE WAS IN THE STUDIO AND USED IT THEN! #4: now this is also crucial but this is more important then the last one to the point where I had to ask my sister to be sure since she has worked with key fobs and she knows how they work, A PERSON CAN CHANGE THE REGISTRATION NAME ON A KEY FOB! Sorry for the caps but this is really important, Syphus could’ve change what the registry name the fob would show up as to Woods to frame him so he could get away with it. Woods has been faithful to you throughout this entire journey and so has CJ and Samantha. Sorry but there are too many factors to take into consideration that it’s not Woods.

Wait this makes all sense,woods knew this place. He knew what happened there, he wanted to back out so Matt doesn’t think it was him or have any suspicions on him.He knew that, the place they went has no service, meaning Matt or Cj couldn’t call for help. Syphus is woods and D was his friend, meaning that D was the one that stole the mountaineer. In the last video, maybe woods signaled D that Matt and Sam was coming around the corner by dropping the walkie talkie. It was not possible that someone could not hear the walkie talkie fall, since it would make a loud noise. When the walkie talkie fell, it signaled D to run away, and the person who opened the garage was woods, leaving D to steal it. Since Woods kept on mentioning his “Highschool friends,” who knows... Maybe woods and D where friends in the past and still are. Woods knew everything about the place, when it was built, what he and his friends where doing there, and what happened there. Another reason why it was woods, because remember that time when woods said he lost his keys, maybe he gave it to D. So now both syphus (woods) and D have a key to the building. In the last video woods grabbed a ladder from the same garage where the car was, he could’ve left the garage open so they could steal the car.

I personally don’t believe it is Woods. Like almost every other comment Woods did say that he has lost his key fob fairly recently. Syphus was and is watching you guys. I would have everyone that he took video of from the binoculars check their homes and make sure no one broke in or anything. Especially Woods. What if Woods DIDNT lose his key fob but instead it was stolen. Woods had too much guilt when Syphus stole the car there is no way that it’s him. I know this is in the past but you could have police come out and check the car, have it towed, or just leave it there and see what happens. You should have brought some sort of camera to film what happens. Maybe like a dash cam. One that records footage and audio. Then you can watch it and see exactly what he is doing and hear what he is saying.

I agree! Woods was much to guilty when they lost the car. Woods also didn't have anything with him while on the roof. He had a camera and a walkie, no phone (Sam found is phone in the van). He couldn't have contacted anyone who might want the car or to tell them the three of them are staking out. Woods also couldn't have placed the car at the exact spot. They also knew the area the car was parked was out of service range, that being said, Woods COULD have started all this Syphus and car 'story' but it's very unlikely.

The box under the stairs is connected by a power cable AND an Ethernet CAT Cable... so it's either connected to a wireless router, another computer, or Hi5's computer network.... the same network that runs their access to the security system's offsite. He likely has total access to your internal mail, and any passwords you use on Hi5 premises other than perhaps your personal phones. I don't believe Woods is a good enough actor to have faked all this (sorry Woods) going back as far as it all does nearing 1000 days. A question not asked in video... who ELSE is helping this character ? I doubt they stole this Mountaineer and walked back to their home around that area, and how did they get to Hi5 in first place. Did they park off site and walk into business park, leaving a vehicle behind ? Did they have support that followed them out to "spooky house" for a ride away from scene of abandoned car ? Would anyone pick up a hitchhiker/Uber/taxi at night out there in the boonies when no broken vehicle is in sight ? Go and get ALL NEW physical locks added to primary doors with sliding/draw bolt locks on garage access that can only be accessed from inside bldg. Then get that box removed from networks and physically inspect the rest of network cables for hacks or patched in intrusions... then change ALL passwords, revoking all access to everyone and start over issuing credentials on networks with new passwords. Maybe then you'll have some security that isn't telegraphing everything to this intruder.

If that's really the cables and they have access to the internal internet they then are able to delete and add fobs. That's probably how he got new fobs with different names, he's able to access internet and if he really wanted he could take over a bunch of stuff on your computers, I would watch your computer desktop and make sure nothing disappears from your computer don't worry about it, if it stuff is being added and deleted remove the case imidialtly and remove all of the fobs from the doors and everything so then he can't just keep on getting in, it's harder to get the key fob than to program the fobs that he has already. If I was were you guys I would remove Woods' fob and take a picture of all the fobs, if anything is added take the case out and break it

Can we all agree that it’s not woods? He was literally on the roof filming when the car was stolen. There is no way, like at this point why risk someone getting hurt for a joke. Even if Woods had one of his friends do it he wouldn’t have one dropped the walkie-talkie, and he wouldn’t have led Matt right to the car. Also he wouldn’t have tried to clean up the fluid if he knew it was going to light something on fire. I mean it’s probably not that hard to copy one of the fobs, but also, we all know that the fobs are used, so how hard it would be to just take someone’s fob? Also can we just take a second and look over some facts real quick. So if we did think that this was a former employee, correct me if I’m wrong, there are not many male employees (that we know of) that have been fired or have left. The two that I can think of are gunner and Mitch. The body shape of scyphus in the last video is too tall to be gunner but I think also too thin to be matched because Mitch had wide shoulders. Also I might be a few videos behind but how was the car in drivable conditions? Last video I remember with the car they try to drive it back from the tow site and the engine starts smoking, so how was he able to drive it that far away. And also if it was woods why would he have pointed out the car on the drone? Like it wasn’t Matt who pointed it out it was woods, he could’ve just sent the drone flying back a little farther and blamed it on the wind.

It's not hard to copy of the fobs yes they have an extremely long extremely unique code but people use their phones all the time to steal credit card information you can use the same s*** to still the code from a key fob and if you know what you're doing you can program key fobs I know because I know someone that does it though he does it for simpler key fobs the ones that you use for your car but it's not too much further to do it for one of those key fobs because he has done a couple of that style key fob and just an FYI it's definitely not me because I'd like to know how I'd get to California from Pennsylvania that quickly😂😂

As many other viewers said, I highly doubt Woods is working with Syphus. Wood's said awhile back he’d lost his key fob, so that’s probably how Syphus got in. Also, why would Wood’s record Syphus if he was working with him? If I were him and if I were working with Syphus, I would’ve said I freaked out and forgot to press the record button or something. And you can clearly tell from his footage that his heart sank and his reaction was 100% raw. You could hear the pure sorrow, frustration, and helplessness in his tone. There’s no way he could’ve been working with Syphus. At most when it comes to relation between the two, maybe they went to the same high school and Syphus was one of the kids in his group of friends that went there for the 'adrenaline rush'. Y'never know.

first of all thank you CJ for filming we appreciate it, second there is possibly a chance that woods is associated but not intentionally. in a previous video woods said that he had lost his key fob, but maybe he didn't loose it, it could have been stolen by someone that woods was possibly friends with at the time. if woods knew this person that could've stolen it in high school. then they would've known that woods knows the area that the car was taken to. therefore leading them to that area, they were talking in the video about how this could be a trap, which would be the reasoning for the people taking the car there. since the new video has not come out yet we don't know what is gonna happen so maybe there is a trap. this is just my theory. also when they were in mega office I don't think they checked to see if there was a cam watching them so if there was, when they were talking about following the car because there was a tracker they probably parked it so they could watch when they came to the car so that syphus could see where the tracker was and take it off. he could have planted a camera some where near the car so he could watch. again this is just my theory.

Wait this makes all sense,woods knew this place. He knew what happened there, he wanted to back out so Matt doesn’t think it was him or have any suspicions on him.He knew that, the place they went has no service, meaning Matt or Cj couldn’t call for help. Syphus is woods and D was his friend, meaning that D was the one that stole the mountaineer. In the last video, maybe woods signaled D that Matt and Sam was coming around the corner by dropping the walkie talkie. It was not possible that someone could not hear the walkie talkie fall, since it would make a loud noise. When the walkie talkie fell, it signaled D to run away, and the person who opened the garage was woods, leaving D to steal it. Since Woods kept on mentioning his “Highschool friends,” who knows... Maybe woods and D where friends in the past and still are. Woods knew everything about the place, when it was built, what he and his friends where doing there, and what happened there. Another reason why it was woods, because remember that time when woods said he lost his keys, maybe he gave it to D. So now both syphus (woods) and D have a key to the building. In the last video woods grabbed a ladder from the same garage where the car was, he could’ve left the garage open so they could steal the car.

Look I know this isn’t scripted according to Matthias and all of the M-Vlog team. But that “It’s Woods!” and Matthias’ stare at the camera seemed too on the nose. It’s a great series guys, and too be honest before this video I believed it was all real. Now, I’m doubting it. Also, it’s definitely not Woods. But if it was, y’all literally have no incredible proof to go and point your fingers at him this late in the game. Merry Christmas everyone!

That particular part did seem too 'tv style'. I wholeheartedly believe this series is real, however, those vox messages can have transcripts so perhaps Matthias read it prior then faked the speakerphone scene reaction for theatrics? Doubt woods is in on it but him being clueless fiddling with the car is, as you said, too on the nose. As for him being in on the stalker bull, I could never consider this unless he's been doing the long con for years....?

Yeah it seemed like a set up to have woods go search around the car while matt listens to the voice message, and Kevin quickly saying its woods is just making me lean more towards the side that its scripted

Hey guys , there's this device that get put on the fob reader and transmits the fob id code to the person who set it up , he can easily get anyone's fob id and make duplicates , why he would pick woods , would be to divide and conquer

Uh, didn’t woods say that he lost a key fob? That’s why he had gotten a new one? Check the fobs. If it’s the same registery, that’s a fail on your security. The old fob should have been erased and woods given a new fob with a new registry.

I don’t think it’s woods. If it was him, why would he do the stake out? Why would he go to a place that would incriminate him? I think the stalker might have stolen woods key phob. It just makes sense. But then again, it may be woods. He could possibly know this person. Or he could be being black mailed. We don’t know. So I would say be careful on what you tell woods. But don’t fire him. Because that can spark vengeance and you know woods is street smart.

Didn’t woods say he lost his fob? The guy could’ve taken it and used it and of course that’s how he got inside by using Woods fob. And if the guy did take Wods key fob, of course it would be registered to wolds. And how would Woods be driving to some abandoned place and be at the office at the same time. They are digital fobs... higher tech thieves have been able to copy things just by being with 15 feet or so of someone. If woods has gone to the store or somewhere else, this guy could easily bump into him in a normal setting and woods would never know. He has a history of tracking all the people from hi5. It could be assumed that he could copy everyone's fobs. It just so happened woods was easier to find. I dont think woods is involved at all.
