The LAPD case is now gone, but it still leaves behind so many questions about those stairs in the Red Base warehouse, especially considering the wires that are still dangling from the bottom of it. Matthias and Woods take the time to fully investigate the stairs, looking over each of them one-at-a-time. In doing so, they make a discovery that answers quite a few questions concerning the Stalker's last break-in but when they delve deeper, possibly one of the most important puzzle pieces finally finds a home.

With the LAPD case gone from the stairs, the team starts to investigate the wires that are still snaking under the stairs, speculating on where they go and WHAT they might go to, if anything.

After grabbing the endoscope from up in the vault (with a resolution when it comes to the dreaded window), Matt and Woods use the device to try and look under the stairs from a safe distance and see if there's anything there.

The camera does spot something interesting in the form of drink ware underneath the stairs and it motivates the two to try and move the LEGOs to see if there's another entrance to the stairs.

Theory is that John Doe is in on everything. He told them to disconnect the case,which started the countdown to make it self destruct. @@leahr.5876 Yes, but there is a sliding lock on the hatch. Why would the company before Hi-5 need a lock in there own building? And why would the Floppy Disk Emulator get sent to them if it had nothing to do with them? Why wouldn't D send it to the police instead? (Edit:) So i looked it up and it could take 3min to 4 hours for dust to settle. So in that case if it was never cleaned down there dust could easily be disturbed then settle again by the time Syphus was done.

I think whatever was going on down there was probably happening in the 80s. If there was a police investigation then a lock would be needed to hide whoever is down there. D could be someone from the old company or from the og investigation. We know that the investigation was never finished due to some unknown reason, if law enforcement can’t be trusted then sending it to Hi-five makes sense especially since they have been following the keys for years now.

When the mystery team was searching through the car they found files that had red stains on them. These beakers under the stairs have translucent red liquid. I think that they are the same liquid. Please be careful Matt and the team. Stay safe.

So it has to be fairly recent construction, if that gap wasn't there the door wouldn't be able to open.
