Had to watch a second time. I grew up in the waters you are now sailing. Yes, Woods Hole is a walk in the park after about twenty years of transits (well, maybe fewer). Looking forward to your subsequent videos of Maine. Our family joke about the best place to go in Maine is... Maine. On the return trip, stop and see our many beautiful harbors. Our true favorite if we were going to retire somewhere is Rockland. Meanwhile, all the best, Norm on Cape Cod

Great memories of New England cruising. Never being far from a well-worn Eldridge. I recall one particular Canal transit WITH the current - we were flying. I realized if we lost our engine above the rail bridge and the bridge closed, we would be screwed. I put someone on the foredeck to drop the anchor fast. Whew. The Vineyard/Nantucket and north are challenging with tides and fog. I guess you pay for all that unmatched beauty. Now the more you travel north, the more magnificent the area will be ….. and current challenges and fog intensify. I look forward to more.

We were in Woods Hole, 2 weeks ago. We anchored out in Buzzard Bay. Beautiful location. The pass at Woods Hole an adventure. We made it through without any issue. We missed the memo of the quick tidal shift. Good to know for next time. Sadly we were headed for Halifax, NS, 🇨🇦 and not Maine. Would have loved to have met you both. Hopefully our paths will cross soon. SV SoMuchMore

Fantastic so very well done. Passing thru the narrow channels with traffic can raise the blood pressure a little. Of course growing up in RI my adventures were upper bay, but in Tampa I sailed up to a 45' as 1st mate, but only a few times. The main problem here is shifting sandbars so just stay in the channels and avoid the large commercial ships. I so enjoy watching your videos.

Woods Hole does get “easier” but it is always a challenge! We choose to go the long way and skip Broadway because it doesn’t save a lot and there is more water through the regular pass. We went from Block Island to Maine in 1 shot on our trawler - 33 hours to Mount Desert Island at 7.5 knots, give or take and will continue up here for about another week or so before we work our way back to Block. I hope you enjoy Maine - it is amazing here!!

I'm Dave, just wanted to give you a shout out. I've been watching your quest for a wile now and when you went through Buzzards Bay and through the Cape Cod canal well I wish I would have none. See I live in Wareham Which is in Buzzards bay, two miles from the train bridge. I love watching your video's and have always wished to do something like that. Well let me know if or when your coming back through the aria via the canal and we'll go down to the train bridge and wave a hand. Good luck, Dave.

Great decision making Jordan 👍🏼you've grown so much since you started out on Atticus 1 and while this is not the first time you decided not to take a risk, you are getting more confident in knowing you made the right decision. I remember when you felt like you should be ashamed of chickening out, so glad you're over that and now know there is no shame in being safe.

Good job, I think in a situation like that you can ease back a little on the revs to give a little time to what is happening, its great to not make too many alterations too, I'm not sure what the other yacht was up to certainly a strange place to pull a manoeuvre like that, I wish I had a crew like Budd's sister not sea sick cooking on the move on deck ready for work, well done!
