Hi JC, Got a question, I did watch a whole lot of videos from you and used Google just didn't find the answer to my question. I have a SP Racing F3 with 3 regular uarts. UART1 is USB UART2 is X4R SB smartport telemetry UART3 is X4R sbus Now I want to add and OSD and Painless360 says you can add it to UART1 and you need to disconnect it before using the USB, which is a pain because I want to solder the wires. So I'm considering using a soft serial port for either the telemetry or the OSD, which one would you prefer? Regards,

Hi PBF I've been following your videos to set up my mini osd but for some reason on my arduino config.h page I can't see betaflight in the list only Cleanflight & baseflight, I've changed my FC firmware from Cleanflight to betaflight and on the osd tab in beta it says my FC isn't responding to osd commands, any help would be appreciated thanks

NM I found the answer, it's yes , you connect the smart to either 5+6(Softserial1) or 7+8(ss2).

is it possible to do serial passthrough to soft serial port? i've tried with command line below but not working (i am using soft serial 2). serialpassthrough 31 19200

Did you find a solution for your problem? I am in the same situation: using UART2 for GPS, Softserial1 for Telemetry, UART1 should be bluetooth - MSP on softserial2 does not work. If i connect the minimosd to UART1 it is working out of the box! What did you do for working?
