I was having trouble receiving telemetry from my FrSky XSR receiver and it turned out that the XSR needed a firmware update. So I followed your XSR firmware flashing video which was great but for all you guys with a QX7 Taranis to flash receiver firmware you need to use the "Smart Port" on the bottom of the radio next to the SD Card slot to flash the firmware. The pinout is different to the internal receiver expansion port, correct pin order is GND, +5V, SIG going from left to right (SIG pin being closest to the SD Card slot). Hope this helps some one out. Thanks again for the excellent videos JC, this playlist has really really helped me out setting up my new Q X7!

You are killing it on the Taranis education. I've been learning a lot from your videos. I got the QX7 when I first started buying stuff/things one by one. I've just about cut my thumb off (arm/disarm dummy) and I've wrecked my first FPV 3D printed frame with PDB and CC3D. I'm now finishing up a carbon fiber alien frame with Betaflight F4. I've learned a bunch in the last few months. I started with 3S and now using 4S. Anyhow, thanks for your videos. You are doing a great job.

I'd really like to set up a timer to start and stop on the springy switch and have voice updates every minute - or something like that... Thanks again

at @2:25 you set your low alarm to 45 and critical alarm to 38. What are these numbers exactly, are they the discharge percentage? for example, you get a low alarm when you've used 45% and a critical alarm when you've used 38% of the battery??

The temp sensor in bf/cf indicates the flight mode and other things related to that. Is a code specified in the telemetry help in the bf/cf wiki

I have a qx7 and an xsr with a sp racing f3 flight controller I am trying get the voltage through telemetry but when I discover sensors rssi,RxBt, and A2 are the only ones that show up. I have the vbat wired correctly because when I plug it in on bataflight I can see the voltage up top but when I go in the config tab I don't have to option to turn on vbat does this mean that I can't get voltage through telemetry? Or am I don't something wrong

been trying since days to get VFAS to show in my Taranis discover new sensors, battery voltage shows correctly in betaflight but i cant discover VFAS for some reason maybe some cli command :( everything turned on in betaflight including the baro but not getting VFAS nor altitude, help would be greatly appreciated.

your sd card contents don't match the firmware version of openTX. you'll need to use openTX companion, download the SD card contents that match your firmware version and load them onto your SD card
