0:57 - *Advanced information processing* After reading the topic/chapter(ask questions) 1) How would I use this 2) When would I use this 3) Why would I use this 3:45- *Space repetition* Keep revising the topic in regular interval of time, for example if you studied a topic today revise it in 5 or 8 hours or maybe the very next day than revise it again after 3 days and keep repeating this cycle . 5:38- *Pareto principle* 80% of outcome(grades) comes from 20% efforts This 20% of efforts include 1) past paper analysis 2) summarizing lecture notes 6:49- *Feynman technique* 1)Rewrite the entire information you are reading in your own words 2) teach what you learned (teach like you teaching something to a person who has no knowledge of the topic).Try to simply the concepts to the greatest extent. 3) Observe the concept which you were able to explain well and the concept which you were not able to explain now go back to the book and try to understand the concepts again which you couldn't explain well 4) Repeat the above steps until you are able to explain it without opening the book Edit:- Thank you for amazing comment down here *It ain't much but it's honest work*

Just a tip- best way to study smart is to just try your hardest to understand the content meaning watching the lectures second by second and going back 5 seconds everytime you don't understand something until you understand every word that lecturer or teacher said. It's easier to do questions and everything else once you have understand the content. Just a tip

Do you ever watch these study tip videos, create a mental routine, plan it so well and start daydreaming yourself studying but never actually study, to the point you get exhausted from all that planning and daydreaming and then just say, "I'm too tired to study today, I'll start tomorrow", and the tomorrow never comes?? Because that is me. If there ever was a procrastination God, that would undoubtedly be me.

Just to share my thoughts, on 0:55 Advanced Information Processing. I learned to do this early in my childhood, (being able to read books at the age of 2) it is a really effective technique. I discovered that it's easy to learn and retain new information when you know "why" and "how" does that information works. By bridging information from various sources (eg reading other books) and "figuring things out", learning becomes more "active" rather than "passive". So instead of just mindlessly memorizing new information, try to figure out "how does it work" or "why does it work". Ask questions during or after reading, then try to answer them by opening another related book or search on Google etc. Yes, it can be a pain in the ass (when you really have 0 background knowledge about it), but the returns are worth it. Then to "reinforce" that information into your brain, do the 6:48 Feynman technique (the funny thing is you might create a better understanding in the middle of an explanation). PS: I'm a medical student (a lazy one), since our field requires a lot of information to be memorized, doing these 2 "lessens the burden of memorizing things". It really does save time and frees up your schedule to learn new things.

1. Make sure to look over your syllabus on when exams are due. 2. Plan your days so you know how many hours you have to study. 3. Quickly skimmed words and definitions you don’t know and look them up. 4. Goto the end of the chapter and look over the review questions or hw problems to get your mind active when reading your chapter(s). 5. Start reading, and starting actively scanning for those questions and if you see a definition, closed the book and try to actively recall it. 6. A process that can take 5 or 6 pages to understand would be a bit harder, but this is where you would neeed to try to explain it to your friend. If you can’t explain the concept to your friend then. You need to go back and figured it out either by watching different videos, textbook, etc. I am currently using these techniques and so far I am getting an A+ in statistics ( number one in class in test score) and A in biology. Lastly, if you don’t have a good memory then you may need to look at differnet techniques such as peg system, aboriginals memory technique, mnemonics, space renditions, flash cards (anki, quizlet), etc. if you are doing any type of calculatons, make sure you quickly do practice problems to the point where you don’t think but do. Final tip: Speed on test is critical! Go as fast as you can on a test so you can go back over your exam to look for silly mistakes, tricky questions, etc! Both my classes, I have finished the exam With 30-45 mins to spare!

these videos are so helpful, im only in high school but all the tips in this are really helpful for motivation and productivity. I was just about to do my history homework but I wanted a different set up cause my notes weren't very neat and now instead of history notes, I have studying notes but im so grateful that I came across this video.

The repetition method is so good for language learning 😊 I knew all this things actually, the first one I didn't know it was a method.. I did that always without to notice. Unfortunately my grades weren't amazing, but they were okay and some good but in languages i defenitly had really good ones. That's why the repetition method is the best for languages especially for me ☺️ You don't notice that they are actually "methods" until someone makes you notice them 🙈

Me feeling like a shit for not studying this whole ass year and freaking out my exam is tomorrow and don't even know how and what to study. Feel like I should go for imp things but I'm still eating my ramen and watching this .There are 10 chapter's and 10 hour's life is not hard unless we made it that way its really weird to be a topper couple of years ago and going to be a loser. Online class ruined my life and offline exams are gonna bury me edit: the exams went online may be because of prayer lmao. SO ATLEAST I WILL PASS. there is god y'all after writing this comment within 1 hour my school cancelled the exams and conducted it last week online idk how to feel..........

Thanks for the tips!! I want to ask a question, it is my own experience when i think i understand the material well, but once i didn't get the answer on the mutiple choice, i became panicked, and confused whether my knowledge for the material was right or not.... it is kind of really problematic while i was in exam , because i became blank after that. Anyone have any idea to fix it or ..?

I find that the faster I read (not so fast to the point I can't understand the words) the more info I'm able to remember because I'm not spending so much time on one paragraph.

Super simplified notes on studying smarter 1. Advanced Information Processing -Asking more questions after reading a topic like How? (How can you use this), When? (When will you use this), and Why? (Why must I use this) 2. Spaced Repetition -Memorization technique with increasing intervals of studying the topic. 6 hrs, then 3 days, then a week. 3. Pareto Principle "80/20 Rule" -Prioritize the 20% of studying that directly affects your output like summarizing lecture exams and answering past papers. 4. Feyman Technique Simplifying what you know, then teach it to someone who don't know anything about the topic. Go back to your topic when you didn't exolain very well until you succeed.

Spaced repetition really is insane. I used to cram and use Anki’s (flashcard software) system for spaced repetition even a few hours before the exam and it really saves my life. Imagine how powerful it would be if I wasn’t cramming.
