Glad you are happy with it. We still need to change out those diaphragms for it to be perfect but it does sound/ride nice!

Hord Power! He bored my heads and lighten my crank. When he was finished it was a 700cc motor with 69 hp. Also look up Berringer Brakes they make a front caliper that is a straight bolt on. They will show it as a brake for a honda Bros. Also DON'T trust the front end until you swap the spring's , they are funky progressive springs NOT straight rate. Race Tech!

Hey thanks for your comment! Yeahhhhh Hord Power!! 😁👍 Pretty happy with the power output right now as the bike still needs the suspension and brakes to be addressed first. On this episode -->kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmjCfaSoac-nmac we put a different set of used forks from the Hawk forums with Race Tech 0.95kg springs in them. I feel these are waaay too oversprung for my 150lb weight so I may have to consider a different route as it's a little unsettling to ride in the canyons. I will look into those Berringer Brakes! Thanks! All in all, the Hawk is the best bike I've owned so far and she's a keeper! We're glad this video will help you! Seriously love the Hawk and will most likely keep it forever! Ouch, pushing the bike up a hill? I can only imagine the pain lol. Are you suspecting the carbs? If you haven't already, I'd recommend picking up a shop manual as it has helped me a ton!

@@FirstTimersChannel yes, I need to get the manual! Something in the fuel system, probably the carbs. I know someone lined the inside of the tank at some point and that stuff looks like it's flaking off in there some. Hoping it's just the in tank filter screen or in line fuel filter causing the problem and it didn't make it's way to the carbs...it was running perfect ugh!!! I also plan to do the fork seals and progressive springs this winter.

@@claytonsmith9016 Cool at least you have the right idea to check the tank filter screen and the fuel filter first. Just be careful about the fuel lines connecting to the tank from the fuel pump as those can be hard and brittle! I had to change all of that out as everything I touched, cracked lol. But all in all, the pain you are suffering will make it all worth it in the end when it's running right again 😅

What can you say about the HawkGT? It's a classic! I too have availed myself with Horde Power, their commitment to customer satisfaction goes beyond excellence! They even make me think about a Ducati.

@@FirstTimersChannel I really wish I didn’t. I had the rims polished and plated I also put on an exhaust that ran out the left side leaving the beautiful rim exposed. Damn I miss that bike.

@@billrhea They are hard to find but sometimes available on Craigslist! I agree with you on exposing the rim! Such a beautiful sight. That's why I like the TBR muffler as it sits right infront of the rear rim but a left exit would be nice too. Or an under seat exit but that would have to be custom made

Great work and what a gorgeous bike!! Yes the sp plug tool from Honda is the shit. Im about to jet my carbs, can you tell me how time you guys turned out the pilot (fuel) screw when adjusting idle please? Any advice is appreciated. Look into Hords clutch kit and factory pro shifter kit and timing advance sprocket

Hello and thank you for commenting! TBH I don't remember off the top of my head but when I purchased the jetting kit from Hord, it came with instructions on various setups including how many turns to turn the screws. The bike is at my parents house so when I stop by some time this week, I'll look for that paper. I'll checkout your recommendations! I feel like the clutch is starting to give out or the cable. Something is causing for harder downshifts and when I pin it, I feel the clutch slipping during upshifts even after letting the clutch go completely. I am however REALLY happy with the power after these mods. 👍👍

Hey thanks for the comment! The carb diaphragms were purchased on ebay. Here's a link to the exact seller we purchased it from... ebay.to/3jqE25P. The diaphragm springs however are stock. We stretched and baked them to 8 inches as per recommendation from J.D. Hord.
