Today I spent a good 3 hours trying to search for something very specific on KZbin and that is "make better searches on KZbin" my reasoning for it is because I personally WANT to find smaller channels and see what they have to offer. The problem is no matter what I do, I either get the same video repeating itself on search over and over again. The other would be channels from India that have absolutely no relations to what I am looking for. The same is true with the search results also giving me stuff that is not related to my topic. And now I am wondering how does one make a proper search on youtube to being able find new channels with quality content that fit their niche?

I rank in a lot of my videos with the keywords and the amount of views i get from those ranking tags is super low. When the search volume is supposed to be super high according to them. The impression are super low, even with a high CTR, getting views will not happen without impressions. My point is, they sell you this idea of a miracle tool, they hype it way too much.

Thanks buddy for this video. My mind was going bonkers after researching keywords. I too have been noticing the disparity between search volume and views and that alone was enough for me to not trust their search volume stats. One more thing is there, in their stats tab, they show how many videos are using that exact same keyword in title, description and tags but that same stat differs when you search in keyword explorer's results tab. I would rather use google adwords instead of using tubebuddy for keyword research.

I don't know how morning fame is going to work for me as at first I was misunderstood their basic plan. I thought with the basic plan( im a tiny weeny youtube channel ) im able to access 12 days for 24 hrs and then reaccess 12 days later. But in fact NO! Im only allow to access this pathetic 24 hrs just 1 day and then to revisit again 12 days later within 24 hrs. And so this basic plan $4.90 is going to work for me basically 2 days in a month? So basically the geniune plan is 12.90 / mth plan .What can I do with this 2 days to learn and research? I don't know....I feel quite sketipcal how it going to help small youtuber but just push you to get a higher plan.

Hey mate. No unfortunately not. I get views from over 50 different searches and not just "paypal holding money". In fact if you check my tubebuddy video (again?) you'll notice this. I was actually contacted by the CEO of Tubebuddy after he saw my video and explained to me that they get their estimates from Keywordtool.io. Still only estimates which by my research is WAY off. I totally agree with you . I did some keyword research last night using tubebuddy and found some massive volumes and I mean huge numbers . Yet the ranking videos for those keywords have a few thousand each where as the tubebuddy numbers would mean those ranked videos should have millions of views each . I reached out to tubebuddy and as of yet nothing , but it’s only been a day so will wait and see . Glad I found your channel !!

Thanks for the feedback and the support. So I spoke with the founder (he saw my video and contacted me). What he told was that they get their stats from Keywordtool.io. Not their own database or even Googles. I know it's not possible to know the exact search numbers, but some of them are incredibly skewed. As for support, good luck with that. Their support sucks. i actually have this same issue you talked about but on a much smaller scale. ill do research like crazy and come up with a searchable key phrase and title and description and so on lol and then not get any views. ive currently got 3 videos ranking on the top page of results for the key phrase and theres hardly any views at all. could be the video itself, could be the thumbnail, who knows. but its hard to believe that with as high of a score as it gave me that there wouldnt be more views.

Nah, you're right. TubeBuddys keyword research as well as VidIQs suck. I've actually been working closely with TubeBuddy after the owner approached me (he saw this video) and they are working hard to fix this. Keyword data is a big problem hence why I like and prefer Morningfame. Most of my videos get the love via search from research done through Morningfame. I hate the fact that every so called guru and KZbinr who have been lucky getting to where they are punts software just to make money. The lack of integrity drives me nuts.

I am trying it and it seems random. It says my 'How to be happy' video is number 3 in rankings yet it is the worst one to go for. If I do it on another account its 5 in the rankings and if I sign out completely it's about 50. Why does switching accounts change my rankings in Tube Buddy? I understand that my personal searches may change but it shouldn't on TubeBuddy. The fact I have 26vies and 9 subscribers makes me think I'm not ranking at number 3 for a search topic that is search millions of times!

Sorry for the late reply. TubeBuddy takes your own channel authority into account for the weighted scores. Unweighted are not linked to you channels and gives a more general result. The fact of the matter still remains that TubeBuddy sucks for keyword research. They simply cannot give you an accurate search count. In fact, the owner told me personally they use keywordtool.io to extrapolate their keyword searches. It's a joke to be honest. All these tools are crap. To be honest, MorningFame has been the most consistent one of the bunch. I just hate the fact that all these tools sell a lie to people and that nobody seems to do anything about it.

Great video! I have always been a great support of TubeBuddy. Ever since KZbin changed the back end of the creator studio, I have been using their shortcuts all the time. Found your video, and thought I would disagree with it, nope, not a rant video, a well thought out video. The reason I have been having doubts is the keyword research tool. Hey Phil. Touche my friend on the whole sucky thing. Thanks for taking the time to comment on my video. Must say, I didn't expect it. That being said, my experience with TubeBuddy when giving "constructive criticism" hasn't been great. In fact, I can point you to many others who feel exactly the way I do. Specifically about the arrogant support, or heck, the complete lack thereof. I would appreciate your further feedback once you get a chance to go over the video a bit better. I'm all about transparency and most importantly, HONESTY. Mr Starkovich, I am happy to eat my words and make an update video about my experience if we can work together to understand the shortfalls, problems, bugs, etc. Let me know how you would like to handle it. Tubebuddy isn't my enemy here :)
