This is, without doubt, the most moving performance of the Prokofiev 2nd I've ever heard. Thank you to whoever posted this magnificent performance. stunning interpretation of the most profound piano concerto. Toradze dances thru previously unknown and untried idiosyncratic tempi and has Russian keyboard technique in each finger to spare.

For me the 1st movt. was too idiosyncratic; playing fortissimo at mezzo forte seemed to reduce it to lifelessness, and the breaks in tempi were just too much. I have seen another performance of his that I adored, this one to me was just a touch too self indulgent.
