The 'draw it from every angle ever' piece was just great. I always get frustrated when an exercise doesn't sink in or I can't put it to use in my work because I drew the torso in just a handful of poses. That approach cements it in the brain and makes sure you see it as a 3D object, really good idea.
@Oxenia016 жыл бұрын
One of the best exercises you can do to train your drawing skills honestly. Been doing it for years. Start with doing it with a cylinder then a cube then other shapes you want to learn. very hard but it really makes your brain print the forms into your head.

Why, do you dislike your body, or have you been taught that nakedness is shameful? I personally avoid going even half naked because I have a body that some can find distressing to see unwanted. Since a year has passed, do you feel the same. Or am I perhaps missing some obvious joke?

Yowlee Gonzaro Read Dynamic Figure Drawing by Brune
@Gian009878 жыл бұрын
yeah, like you need to read a whole book! its about the width of your hand. grab your obliques and you'll feel how your hand just fits between the ribcage and pelvis.
@Ivcota8 жыл бұрын
***** I was for real. Some people learn in different ways, I never understood how to measure the distance with deep - space poses. So I read that book and it helped me a whole lot. Also, your method of just feeling the distance could be harder for people with more mass around those areas.
@Ivcota8 жыл бұрын
***** Ah, I understand where your coming from. Yeah, people don't have much time and giving advice on reading a book is probs a little over technical. Still, doing so would be beneficial for Yowlee Gonzaro. The book you recommend was appealing to me in the past, you say its good with foreshortening as well?
