Nice. I have same ‘floating style’ reactors manifold setup. Re: using 90’s - I only avoid using them on drain lines..mainly to reduce noise. I find it’s much quieter when water sweeps using combination of 45’s or w/spa flex pvc. But perhaps sound isn’t a concern in your scenario. Cheers and keep em coming.

Fyi buddy - the printed lettering on pipe and fittings wipes right off with a little bit of acetone. Also, you can save that union by removing the pvc pipe...just need to heat it with heat gun and pull/twist it out with either Vice grips or channel lock pliers.

Yup I figured the lettering out the next day. The pipe I tried to heat but it’s stuck

The dont? That’s a shame… the overflow is by skimz I bought it off of brs in clearance. If you search on aliexpress you can find something similar for cheap

Is your tank drilled? I would drill it if it's not. You've got a really nice setup, I would do that last thing so it doesn't flood. That's a lot of water to trust a siphon based overflow. You already have the drill bit and bulkheads and it would only take 15 minutes.

I actually have a Fiji cube set but didn’t want to commit to drill yet. We’ll see how this works out.

@@prolificbreedaquatics I have faith in your ability to make the siphon work. If you're nervous about drilling such an expensive tank, it's actually easier to drill thicker glass without it cracking. Just don't use a cheap bit, spend the cash for a good one and you'll be fine.

@prolificbreed Hint: Modular Marine external overflows c/w drilling kit. Just go slow. Clamp plywood or acrylic piece to inside of glass to avoid any chipping. Trust me on this...CPR or siphon tube style overflows are a disaster waiting.

Why MPs so close to bottom... take it is bare bottom tank but still?

They were falling off the glass… or work their way down if it turn on full blast. I actually don’t like them

clamps on lily pipes sounds like the greater leak disaster risk tbh
