Very interesting comparison. Never thought trenchers handled loose dirt. Tomorrow I'm mounting predator 2.2 trenchers on my superlite inspired carbon build. Thanks for the dedication sir. You're doing an awesome job.

I recently replaced my worn out predator Hyrax's for some Duratrax Deep woods and have been loving them. Maybe a little too soft for only rocks but they are unstoppable in the trails. Still may have to pick up a set of those new trenches just to feel the difference

Duratrax fan here so i can provide neutral feedback 😂 im not sure how/if you wash your tires. Dawn dish soap and water to get the oil and crud off of old and new tires alike. Really makes them sticky and helps prevent some clogging with dirt or sand. Trenchers clear win on this round.

Usd are meant for bouncers with lots of power. Barely gave it any power with the usd on it. Gave much more with the Trenchers. Either way the Trenchers were impressive in the dirt.

Dang that truck has good composure. So smooth. Even with two totally different tire set ups, no wheel hop. Excellent build. Would like to see the same test between the Hyraxes and the Trenchers. I bounce between natural large river rock crawling and a comp trail made up of broken slab and dirt with wood obstacles. The river rock is all about the Hyrax, but I've been looking for the right tire on the varied terrain of that damn crawler course. Lol Have fun.

Have you had any durability issues with the Amazon dig? I’ve heard a lot of people talking trash about the all of the Amazon three gears. Mainly saying there was to much play in the spur. Also I’d love to see how some 2.2 deepwoods and maybe some pitbull rockbeasts XORs compared?
@ExocagedRC2 жыл бұрын
Man so far I’ve been really impressed with the amazon transmission. Still Got the metal 48p spur gear on it. I like the 2.2 deep woods but they would need new foams. They are so soft and floppy.

I learn why I need to change to metal housing axles, when you add brass parts the original axles is plastic can break, next upgrade metal axles, and in tires i use Proline Trencher they're the best tire i buy, but i now the USD are not, but Proline is always improve the compound

Prediction Stickies in the Dirt, Trenchers on the rocks. Let's see what happens.
@GrimJerr2 жыл бұрын
surprising that the Stickies weren't better in the dirt. I haven't run mine yet so I will be doing a Hyrax (proline single stage) comparison test on Kong ad then on Bumble in the future, running the Stock RTR foams in my USD Stickies and they are stuffed, the rubber is stiff, but they do have a nice contact patch. If the soften up a bit with use they should be pretty fun on the Bouncer , but not so much the crawler.

I have Pitbull Growlers on Dual Stage foams and they are really good in the dirt also, but not so much on the rocks. Probably a little stiff with the dual stage foams.

I'm curious as to why such a veteran in the RC world would even do this test with such an unfair advantage🤔 the foams can and DO make such a big difference and surely YOU of all people know that, basher foams on a crawler? Really dude? Halos inners and proline outters 2stage foams a real competitive set up versus a DuPont basher foam?!?! This is so unfair from the get go when the tires couldn't flex and get delfection to grip and make the climb the to first test. With all this being said I AM a proline fan and have the Trenchers and hyrax and love them but I have been curious about this tire and wish it had a REAL chance in your test. I guess if you want it done right you gotta do it yourself. Next time be fair and put in the work to switch over the foams too, yes it will suck to have to remove all those screws but cmon man we expect better from such a great RC channel. 👍
@ExocagedRC2 жыл бұрын
Yeah the foams weren’t even but I kinda wanted to see how this would play out. The dirt is what surprised me the most
