Thing is, I was playing a game like this in the early 00's where you explored Earth and found different species of animals and biomes. These types of experiences are impressive but no one ultimately wants too many games that are a mile wide and a puddle deep, as the guy who made Deus Ex once said. These games need lots of interesting things to do and enjoy.

They didn't really talk about the game itself. Some kind of survival game. It's hard to judge what will be the moment to moment game. They focused on the world.

please be civil and read first before you say something silly lol. this is not a "game" game. this is a tech demo. they're developing a new game engine, and this "game" is a program they make to demonstrate what their new game engine could do. it's not meant to be played for entertainment purposes, it's a tech demo, technology demonstration

Nothing of that looks intresting sadly. And going for AI to do work for devs will make bland effect imo. There are already games with hundreds of square km size. If u want a terrain as a feature at least add water and wind erosion, soil movement (like in flash floods, sand storms, soil carried by rivers etc.)

The Royal Battle as a concept was hatched by Brendan for more than one year as mods for DayZ and Arma 3, and the general excitement about the royal battle can be attributed to the stagnation of the genre of multiplayer shooters. In other words, it is not surprising that a person cannot repeat his success, the same ice frog did nothing after dota.

What tech? There is no amazing tech to create procedurally generated maps with 2008 graphics. No Mans Sky and Space Engineers had planet sized maps years ago and they are actually playable games on top of that.
