Gorgeous-as usual! ;) I appreciate you showing everyone that you have to deal with Rosacea. I have lupus and some other autoimmune diseases and my skin sometimes is affected. I get really self conscious, but I deal with it the best that I can. And it makes me feel better to see people-like you-that aren't afraid to show what they're going through.

A sulfate free or a shampoo low in sulfates is great for dry scalp. My favorite is Tressemes Nature shampoo low in sulfates, completely got rid of my dry scalp while leaving my hair super clean

Hey Casey, I had dry scalp before. I started washing my hair less because washing it every 2 days takes all the oils away and makes even more dry. Also, apply coconut oil to your scalp at least one hour before washing your hair. That will moisturize your scalp a lot!
@abbym939510 жыл бұрын
If you take a wide tooth comb and come your scalp with it, it prolly sounds like I hurts but it'll brake up the dry flakes but do it before you get I'm the shower to wash your hair. My hair dresser recommended it to me and it helped!

Casey, I also have had dry scalps in the past and I have to say head and shoulders shampoo is an oldie and still a goodie....and when you are not going out, use any of your hair oils and massage it on the dry spots, and even your eyebrows.....I love oils and they work great! but really just use head and shoulders for a week or so and see if it helps, good luck

I tweeted you this already but most of the population doesn't comprehend how dangerous showering in warm or hot water is for your hair. Shower in your usually hot/warm water but switch it to cold when rinsing, shampooing, and conditioning your hair. That could be a big part of your dry scalp. If you are using cold water to wash your hair i'd look into Head and shoulders shampoo or any moisturizing shampoo or using coconut oil on your scalp for an hour and then washing your hair the same after. Hope this helps xoxo
@lindseyandews86710 жыл бұрын
Agree! Washing and rinsing with cool/cold water will definitely help your scalp and it is sooo much better for your hair then warm/hot water. It helps seal the follicle, reduce the risk of breakage while your hair is wet, etc. And like several other people have already said, coconut oil should definitely help! Great video!

Gorgeous look Casey.. I need that Lip combo!! For your dry scalp.. I tried these two things and they helped my scalp... I put a mix of coconut and Organic Argan oil directly onto my scalp and massaged in and I loved it. Also, you can make a baking soda paste with water.. The baking soda helps neutralize your scalps pH and this is turn will counteract the dry patches! Lemme know if these work 😊

I had the same dry scalp problem this winter! Try Herbal Essences Cleansing Conditioner between shampoos. It won't replace your shampoo all the time, but it is perfect for when you want to wash your hair but don't feel like you need to deep clean it. Make sure you rinse, rinse, and then rinse again, and you'll love it. Love watching your videos!

Girl, I suffer from Adult Cradle Cap and am always dealing with a dry and scaly scalp! I use Walmart's Equate brand t-gel shampoo when I was my hair! I will usually use a normal shampoo first and then follow up with the t-gel, making sure to leave it on for a few minutes! Also when it starts to flare up, my dermatologist highly recommended that I wash my hair every other day! It is a super pain to not be able to go 3-4 days in between washes but it helps SO much! Good luck, I hope it gets better soon!!

Neutrogena's T-Sal shampoo with Salicylic Acid (it's the clear formula, not the dark one) is magic for your scalp! It always helps me clear the junk and dry skin outta my hair (you can grab that stuff from Ulta) Also, I swear by RegenePure when my scalp is extra difficult (I get that stuff directly from the website or from dermstore). Gorgeous look as always :-)

My god you're adorable! I suffer from dry scalp too and I wanted to share a few tips that have helped me. I stay away from dandruff shampoos because they contain pyrithione zinc and that actually makes dry scalp worse (i.e. more flakes!) I make sure to shower with lukewarm water because I've found the hot water dries out my skin. I rub coconut oil in my scalp twice a week and it's a great moisturizer that relieves the itchiness, dryness, and tightness I feel. Make sure you really rub it in using your fingertips, not nails (nails damage your scalp especially when it's wet.) I leave it in for about 20 minutes and then wash my hair. I use Pert Plus and IDK if that helps at all but my dry scalp is basically gone! I hope you're scalp heals soon! I'm subscribing to your channel, doll. Keep up the good work.

Funny you mention dry scalp bc I have just been looking into oils for cleaning my face and moisturizing my hair. (Right before watching this). It was either castor oil or jojoba oil that people were raving about helping dry skin and scalp as well as clearing dandruff. I'm going to get both to combine as a cleansing oil. You can also add vitamin e and make a eye lash growing oil. I'm going to try it all out. Time to get away from unnatural products for me. If you decide to try it make sure the oil is cold pressed. I also went for organic. Pretty look. I'm glad you used the pro palette. Can't wait to try it even though I'm not going to prom.

Hi Casey! I suffer from cronic dry scalp because of a condition I have and what I've found effective to fight it is spraying apple cider vinager on it about an hour before I wash it. It turns out the vinager balances the ph on the scalp making it got back to its normal condition, plus it gives the hair lots of shine and eliminates product build up. Try it i can asure you it is the most natural, effective and cheap remedy I've found that actually works
