Wow your plasma build is fantastic I just binged watched all the videos! They are really helping me to take the plunge to build my own plasma CNC. I have been researching the precision plasma kit but after seeing your build I am leaning towards piecing all the components together myself. I will be emailing you for the contact on those linear rails because they look phenomenal. Thanks again for all the details in your videos.

So nice, you make me crazy... I'm in the process of making my own, the model from JD's garage, a copy of Langmuir crossfire. It's a expensive but i got for what i pay; the worst thing is the controller from Arduino. Lot and lot of inputs and i still not know where i'm going with it. I am seriously thinking of getting MyPlasm cnc control , that looks easy to install and program. Thanks for the video.

I really Love this System ! It's been next to perfect for me. I cut all the time, 1/2" is as big as I've cut, and max on my Hypertherm 45 cutter..The cutter does not go through Comsumables. I've cut up too 5 sheets once on same... The Proma Myplasm just keeps on working Great.

@@Dishtech48 Glad to hear and thanks for your reply. I'll get my table back out and set it up again. I had packed it away a few years ago after having issue after issue with it. IT ran flawlessly for years then I guess some of the hardware just got old. It use to be 3m x 1.5m table, but I cut in half as I don't do such large work anymore. I have a hypertherm PowerMax100 G3 Series that will do up to 3/4" and the axis use huge 45 series linear bearings. Overkill, but I could use it as a router to if so inclined!

@@Shueysstuff Yea. I'm not sure if the Proma MyPlasm will do wood Router. You might check that out first. Buy it is a really good system.
@Shueysstuff3 жыл бұрын
@@Dishtech48 I'm totally ok if it doesn't do router operations, as long as it the plasma system with all the correct functions is glitch free (on the proviso I set the hardware up correctly - grounding etc), then I'm in. The upside to this arrangement is that the CNC board, THC and software originate from the one source, like the Acorn from Centroid... but with a user interface that is simplified and made practical for 2D operations. From a Router standpoint, I'm thinking it may be possible to import the G-Code from SheetCAM and have the MyPlasm just run the code... but that would be a bonus if it were possible.

Hi again Could you tell me how accurate your table top is (x, y) after welding, and how did you manace to weld it without heat bending. In your table, rails are In side of table, so it's not so critical table bends. When you are installing rails, there you could set them straight and compensaid table bending, I am right? I like to have links In alibaba seller for the rails.
@Dishtech483 жыл бұрын
I used 6 foot pipe clamps to hold my table in place. I did have some bending. My table is little bowed in middle on each side. But I ran the rails straight. But my THC will make up what very little it is. It's hard not to get warped metal when welding. I'll have to get ya a link for Alibaba later. I'm in shop now. Thanks

Can you hook up the y axis separately for auto squaring
@Dishtech483 жыл бұрын
Not sure on your question.if I understand. X is separate on board, soft limits keeps me from going pass my boundaries thst I set.
@trialnterror3 жыл бұрын
@@Dishtech48 the gantry rides front to back on the y rails there’s a left y rail and a right y rail. Each rail has a stepper motor. Right now the way millright sent me the configuration is both y motors are slaved or tied together to one driver. I’d like to be able to control each motor independently and then in software you are able to auto square the table by homing each y motor to a known limit switch dimension. This tells the software where in 3D space the machine is accurately at. Now I know that masso does this. To be able to do this you need to be able to have 5 axis input. 1 for x 2 for y 1 for z and 1 for rotary axis.

@Dishtech483 жыл бұрын
@@carrgrienier7726 I would set it around 1.875 for a start.what ya do is.. see how far that gear travels in the rack at one revoluction.. and go from there..after that I would take a tape measure, set it on table and start at 0, and move machine manually say 10 inches and see how far off you are. and adjust from there..

@@Dishtech48 yes sir for some reason the measurement I had from linuxcnc and here were different but I just enter 1.7 and was almost close lol. But I ended up adjusting slowly and I think I got it. Just I could move the cnc by increments or continuously that way I can be accurate. Now the other learning curve would be the files and choosing the lead in and outs and choose where to start on the image.
