No long recoil operation, no reciprocating barrel, which was _the_ defining feature of the original A5. This remake is an A5 in name only, an impostor. Same thing Remington did with the model 51 remake.

I would have to disagree. We still have one of those originals in our family. Will never get rid of it, but I’m really happy with this new model. Nobody put 100,000 round guarantees on those first models, but we got it now. It’s a home run

@@michaeldeming533 it may be a good gun but it's not an A5. this is like making yet another AR15 pattern rifle and calling it springfield m1 garand. if it's not long recoil action it's not a5.

I'm currently working on my son-in laws new Sweet 16 A5. Brand new out of the box and cannot cycle. Fist the gun was sent back when after 10 shots the stock split in two right down the middle and now this. He called and was told this is normal for an A5 not to cycle on light 1 oz loads WTF? My $400 Mossberg eats them like candy and his $1,600 Browning can't cycle them? There has to be something wrong, Browning is supposed to be top of the line.

I don't know why they bother to make it look like an homage to the original a5 without it actually being one.

@@markwhite6782 - I can understand the surprise and disappointment. I believe the reason is because the new A5 is an inertia system and will probably take some braking in. I have the 12 gauge version and it handles 2-3/4”, 1-1/8 oz shells with zero issues so I am fairly confident that the smaller 16 gauge should eat the 1 oz. shells eventually after a few boxes of heavier payload has been shot through it. Hope this helps.

I've tried many different guns my WW A5 is by far the best patterning gun I've ever owned, it throws everything tight, it is definitely worth the price if your a serious hunting wanting serious performance, improved cylinder choke is good to 40 yds full choke is good to 70 on Canadian geese

Maybe you should go back and rewatch the video and not let you mouth get ahead of your brain. Just because the shotgun doesn't use the gas for the operation side of things doesn't mean that there is no gas with the recoil. Pay attention to what "This person" who was me is telling you.

@@BaikalTii I'm sure you are shooting black cloud 3.5" steel out of your original A5 too. You can't just go buy a 100 year old A5. I do have one. It was my grandfathers and it is very special to me. The stamped new A -5 has gas recoil gun has basically two things in common with the original Auto -5. First they copied the Browning hump and secondly the name they stole from the real Browning Auto-5 designed by John M. Browning. Trying to convince the public that this cheap shotgun is better than the original is nothing but slick dishonest advertising 🙄 It is not even worthy of a comparison. 😂😂😂

Nice looking, nice marketing, only issue is that inertia system that doesn't work, at least in my experience and especially in colder climate. I really wish it would work but have seen a total of 9 shotguns of various brands that benelli inertia system and it just fails and very unreliable. Most people are triggered because hey it's a 2000$ gun so you don't want to loose face and give excuses like it needs to be cleaned, what's point of an inertia gun then? Or I need higher loads, again what's the point of that 2k+$ gun if limited to what you can shoot? From my various experience in my area it just doesn't work. Gas systems have more punch in recoil but they cycle, I wish to go to Texas or warmer climate some day to hunt and see if these guns actually work as intended.

I have zero clue what you are talking about. I live in south dakota and on a very frequent basis hunt in sub zero temperatures and yet to have my A5 or SBE2 fail to cycle. I hear this complaint all the time from people and sadly I think it falls on user error or the inability to properly clean your weapon after use.
@Tom-yr3pt
@Tom-yr3pt 2 жыл бұрын
@@entersandman6996 Don't get me wrong I wish it would work but your comment is what I hear inertia owners saying all the time. As for operator error I don't see what it could be it's point and shoot you wouldn't need a PHD to use these especially for the price point, generally paying more is easier to use. Not shouldering properly could be one with inertia I agree but it's not the issue in my experience. As for cleaning like you mentionned that's something I hear all the time but the main marketing point of inertia system is less cleaning, what's the point if you need to clean it after each outing. Just last week I was invited hunting with a guy who has an SBE3 and I asked him if he had any trouble after two years of using it and said its a work horse never failed yet I heard the famous benelli click multiple times during this hunt. And that's my general experience with every owners, they claim it works and some ftf is just normal or don't consider it. I am very happy for you if you had good experience with yours and hope it's continue, maybe I'm just jynxing every inertia I'm close by. For me it's a no, we shoot 500 birds a season and I may clean my gun once per year and rarelly had ftf.

@@Tom-yr3pt modern loads are an issue. If I shoot prairie storms or golden pheasant loads the back of my receiver is filled with unburned powder. That gums up big time. To your point, maybe it's less of a cleaning issue and more of a lubrication issue. I've shot the traditional Auto 5 my whole life and my grandpa always taught me that they need lube, but not too much and to use 3 in 1 oil. So I do the same with both of my inertia guns. Maybe the lube others are using is too thick when cold or they think because they have an inertia gun they don't need to lube at all. Or they are lubing the wrong spots on the bolt.
