This video was the thing that convinced me to pick up this bag and I thank you for the great review. THe unfortunate part of my experience with Prometheus Design Werx was when I had this shipped internationally (Canada) and got stuck with massive brokerage fees ($100+) when most other companies preclear these products for that. I requested them to put the reference on their website in the shipping section, but they were completely unwilling to do this and simply said it was my problem to take up with the carrier. As much as I'm likely to enjoy this bag, I will not be purchasing any more of their products.

Oh wow, thanks for that feedback, I appreciate it. Sorry to hear you had to go through all that just to get the bag, kind of crazy. I hope you enjoy it. I’ve since upgraded to the MCB version 😀

Shado 24L, Goruck 26L or Axiom 24L. How would you rank for edc use? I’m torn on which bag to buy🤪. Thanks
@GoldenFleas5 жыл бұрын
Depends on your need. For EDC you can’t beat the organization in the SHADO or Axiom. For simple one bag travel the GR1 26L really shines.

Best Review out on this bag right now, nice detailed and organized. May I ask, have you worn this bag in rainy/humid conditions; is it water resistant?
@GoldenFleas5 жыл бұрын
Brian Gregorio I wasn’t rainy on my recent trip but it was “misty”. It’s not waterproof, the cordura does provide a slight level of water resistance

Golden Fleas Great to know, that has been one of my largest questions for this pack. Thank you for that!
@tc556guy5 жыл бұрын
I bought a pack cover for mine. Its not a water -resistant material, so I didn't want it absorbing excessive water weight

Thoughts on lower removable pad on back of pack? I’ve heard people complaining about it coming loose over time?
@GoldenFleas5 жыл бұрын
It appears to be pretty solid with the Velcro. It’s not loose at all. I can’t comment on what it’ll look like over years of use though. If I end up having an issue I’ll report back here.

Would this fit a 15'' macbook?
@GoldenFleas4 жыл бұрын
I think about as big as you’ll get is a 13” MacBook but I can’t say for certain. I have an 11” MacBook Air that easily fits. I’d reach out to the PDW folks directly to ask about fitting a 15”

I own 5 triple aught design packs from the fast lite to the edc all in multiple colors such as coyote brown tropical multicam black multicam woodland camo and a few others and the fact in have to purchase the damn hip belt separate from the bags is fuckin ridiculous and it’s not cheap either and the organization panels are a separate purchase as well and not cheap either especially 2nd hand market on eBay people price gouge the fuck out of tad gear don’t get me wrong some of my packs like my coyote brown tad -and hinderer collaboration I could probably triple my money on but I use the suit out of my packs and especially my woodland camo fast light pack it is a limited run and very rare so could get a bite a bit of money but I’d never price gouge I’d sell it for what I paid my outlook is that if triple aught design wanted 600/800$ for their limited run bags they would’ve sold them for that but no they didn’t so people wouldn’t either. Anyway im looking to get this pack I also just bought a spec ops pack and it’s incredible I bought the aluminum stays inserts all in all with the stays and pack I paid around 350$ and it all 1000d cordura and has super heavy duty massive ass zippers that will not be break anytime in the next few centuries. Basically im trying to say pdw is far more worth your money compared to tad or just go eagle industries
@GoldenFleas3 жыл бұрын
I don’t disagree, TAD is expensive, it is quality. I also have the PDW 24 and for the value/quality it is top notch!
@tc556guy5 жыл бұрын
I've been using mine ( coyote varient) for several months now.I have the optional pouches that are attached to the hip beltMy main complaint would be that I think the zippers could be heavier duty; zippers are a weak point of anything that has zippers. I also wish that at least the main compartment was a rolltop design.I also wish that the bottle pocket mesh was an inch or two higher for taller smart water bottles.Just my personal preferenceWish I'd known about their mil/ LEO discount program when I ordered. Oh well. LOL.
@GoldenFleas5 жыл бұрын
Yeah those are all great points. I’d like one main clamshell compartment versus two. The extra inch or two on the bottle pockets would be great.

Did you find out where it's made?
@GoldenFleas4 жыл бұрын
Only thing I’ve found so far is that it is not made in the USA
