volcano village has a special place in my heart! the property you stayed it looks amazing! we stayed at the volcano teapot cottage, which was also fantastic. it was so chilly when we were in volcano... the little fireplace definitely helps!

That's so funny, they did film some of Jurassic Park on the big Island. I took a Hummer tour to some of the property. I saw the big tree stump laying in the field where that stampede was and the guy and the kids hid under it. It's mostly rotted away now. They also filmed Lost and other things there.
