I am in the market for this or an awning. What do you think of the Moon Shade XL? Would it work for the 2023 Basecamp 20X?

Hi there! Yes, we love the XL one, it came out right after we bought our original for our 2023 BC 20x. It would definitely work. Just buy the little D rings they sell to go with it and it will be super secure. It’s also only 8lbs so super portable! Make sure you use our code and save that $30!

@@cruzinthruspace howdy! It sure can. We just had it out on a pretty windy beach in Western Washington and never an issue. It comes with some pretty hefty paracord tie downs with stakes, so it’s never moved. Ours is almost two years old and still looks brand new. Make sure you get the $30 savings instead of paying full price! It’s worth the investment!

So do remove the rubber part in the rail ? I’m confused how this works , I have the basecamp anchors but it didn’t come with any instructions.

Hmm no I don't believe you remove the rubber parts. You just use the clips it came with the clip into the basecamp anchors.

What affect do the clamps have on the molding? Do you have to remove a section of molding for the clamps, or do you just compress it?

Hi! Yes, you will have to remove portions of the black molding that’s in kedar railing. We cut just a little piece of it then replaced it around the clips. We leave the clamps in full time.
