Have you tried kabutops version? Fossils guarantee that you will start with monkey for pressure and cabutos are similars to marowak 1 energy 40 damage. It works for me choosing 1 pokeball (cause i have only 2 basics) and even having only 1 kabutops for late game. I think it's very solid.

Played a bit of it. Feels very solid into Pika EX, but really struggles against the "go bigger" Pokemon like Venu/Char/Mewtwo in my experience so far.

Been running this deck today for the VS event and it wrecks!!! Amount of Pika decks just quit instantly if I start with a half decent hand 🤣🤣 need to optimise my pika deck now cus I seen somebody run Raichu & Magneton along side 2x pika Ex’s and a surge, can have a nuke with Raichu

Mankey is kinda scary if we use the ruthless charge attack we go down to 40hp And so many things do that 40hp There's probably in every colour And the pikachu matchup could easily go down to who went 2nd If they release a pokemon that damages your primape on the bench then primape might touch tier 1

Also primape has similar numbers to ninetales. But ninetails is better rn coz you have to do the whole dance with mankey to get the 10 damage on primape Whereas ninetails can just go in and start damaging Ik nintails doesn't one shot pikachu ex. we need a blaine to do that

@@FrankOpinion1 It really depends on the situation. You typically want to start on Mankey if you're going second IF you have Primape in hand, ready to go. Otherwise you go with Marrowak to hold the line until Primape can hop in and start whacking things. But yes, the new Mankey is a high risk card but it is, IMO, a bit better than base Mankey right now if you actually want to use Primape. Even if you smack once with Mankey and retreat to Marrowak, having a 100 point hitter waiting on the bench is a scary thing for the opponent when it can take revenge KO's and probably KO something else before it dies. Being able to 2 for 1 pretty clean with a Stage 1 is nothing to scoff at.
