Promotion to Corporal (USMC)

Today I earned the privilege of being promoted to a Cpl. I worked hard and stayed dedicated to the highest level of professionalism I can give and my hard work paid off!!!

When I made corporal in 1970, my company commander gave me my shevrons and told me not to make him look bad. That's all.

I got the same thing. All I got was a handshake and a piece of paper. Had to buy my own chevrons and bloodstripe.

When im older, im enlisting into the USMC. I hope 3MAW is still open by then, as that is the USMC Aviation Division for the USMC. I just love planes. Always have, always will.

What army are you in!? Took my 3 and had to work a lot harder than others! Most don’t get until 5-6 years in. This is the NG too
