Keep in mind to whoever stumbles upon this written comment : ila can also mean that someone or something took a long time or that someone or something took a while to do something or for something to happen Here's one example الها ستطعشر سيعة هادا الفيديو إنعمل لمعلمنا آدريان ilha sittT3asher se3 ah haada il-fedyo 'in3emel l-e_m3allemna Adrian = It has been sixteen hours since this video was made by our teacher Adrian

Pleeease post part 3 when you can, and thank you for the classes! I wonder how could it work with بدّ because if one would say "what you want me to say?" Then it’s confusing what to do with the indirect object because of the the way بدّ conjugates. Maybe بدكلي ? I dunno that’s weird. If anyone can answer that I’d appreciate!

It was kinda said in the first part. You say "شو بدك احكي؟" which literally means "what you-want I-say?". By playing with the person of the verb you change the meaning. He mentioned, that you can use ايّا as well ("شو بدك اياني احكي؟"), but I'm not sure if it's interchangeable and what the difference is, so I'd stick to the first way.

@@stanislok.7106 oh thanks! Yeah it makes sense now that I see it. "You want me" really only works in english in that case. Thanks, it helped!

Adrian, you did a great job with this video. I’m interested in your take on عطى، whose indirect object and direct object are both treated like direct objects (اعطيني ياه) , but only when the indirect object is suffixed…otherwise it seems like you can use it with الى، like in عطيت الكتاب للولد. Kind of an interesting phenomenon.
