Hello everybody, I have a question to Teacher: You pronounce the word "Often" with t. As I was taught we never pronounce "often" with sound "t". Has something changed in pronunciation rules?
@abaenglish6 жыл бұрын
The "t" sound is more pronounced in British English.

Hello, english native here. Sorry but I really must dissagree with many example here. "Laughed" for example is 100% correct with the sound "d" . Also one legged = "ed" sound Legg-ed. Any Word with a double 'bb' or 'gg' can be Said in this way and it is correct as in "spotted". It is Simply an older way to pronounce it.
