I watched multiple other videos, read other textbooks, listened to professors, read blogs, listened to a podcast, and tried some other mediums of learning as well to understand how inductions work. This video was the best of all and ONLY one to help me get it, bar none. Thank you.

Sitting through a four hour discrete math lecture where the professor can't teach and just reads out of a discrete math textbook so you have to teach yourself by reading through the same part of the same discrete math textbook all over again. Yes, this is a true story. There is a Hell and that is it. QED.

Thank you from the future! I didn't understand the professor's lecture, didn't understand the textbook, didn't understand the first 3 videos I watched, but now I finally see where all of the "random" numbers that they where putting in came from. I really like that you didn't just assume we'd already know the concepts needed to do the math in this.

Dude you're the man. Clear and concise. I always come here to get quick and easy help. I've become codependent lol. Nonetheless, I'm extremely grateful. Keep up the great work.

By the way, my university's official course content links to this video in its "Proof Techniques" lesson. And it's an ABET accredited Computer Science course (Algorithms and Analysis). It's because we assume true for n=k (the line with 4+9+14+19+...+(5k-1)) = k/2(3+5k). Therefore, if you substitute in for the 4+9+14+19+...+(5k-1) bit for n=k+1, then you get the k/2(3+5k).
