Calling lebron a perimeter player is kinda nasty considering he shot 47.9% of his shots within 10 feet in all completed seasons. Kobe shot 34.5% of his shots within 10 ft. Using the limited data we have for MJ which includes his wizards years and last 2 season with the bulls he only shot 26.5% of his shots within 10ft. Karl Malone from 96 to 04 shot 42.7% of his shots from within 10 ft. With a high of 48.9% of his shots from within 10ft in 96-97. Idk Lebron is much closer to Karl Malone in terms of what percent of his shots are taken from within 10ft than other great perimeter players. Though the MJ and Karl comparison only has little data but i have to use what is available.

What is being a perimeter player? You can’t be a perimeter player if you’re a slasher? Just because his shots are at the rim doesn’t mean he doesn’t play on the perimeter. Bron did not play in the post like that especially early on. He was just great at getting to the hoop and was hard to stop doing it. Malone played out the post and started closer to the hoop. Bron starts on the perimeter like a Jordan or Kobe. Kobe and Jordan took more middys while Bron didn’t he went to the basket more but he still started on the perimeter like Kobe and Jordan. He didn’t start in the post like Malone
