Man asks for an opinion about moving away from a woman he's involved with to take on a better career. When it comes to the question of should I chase excellence, or women, the answer is always excellence.

Dude!!!! Listen to this man's advice The next red flag will be an unexpected pregnancy. I was in a very similar situation when I was 22 years old. Back then there was no KZbin forums like this to turn to. Unfortunately for me I forfeited half of everything I ever worked for to a loveless woman 6 years my senior after raising 4 kids. (Two that weren't mine). At the age of 46 I had to start all over again and sell a house with only 4 mortgage payments left to total ownership. You better take a fool's advice and get out before she locks you into the contract of parenthood. Good luck and God speed. CHEERS!!

Here's what the wrong choice will most likely bring him: Pregnancy within the next year... The suggestion that marriage (to legitimize the child) is the most logical "next move", ("after all, we 'love' each other anyway.")... A few years of "apparent bliss", while one or two more children are born... Followed by a few years of waning attention and intimacy, etc... Followed by one or two years of pure hell in which all affection and intimacy is completely withdrawn, he is treated as worthless and made to feel like an outcast in his own home... Followed by her attainment of permanent residency... Followed by service of divorce papers "out of nowhere"... Followed by up to 18 years of indentured servitude... Followed by an email to Rich, expounding how he wishes he would have taken Rich's advice.

This is a no-brainer. Take care of yourself and career first. Everything else will fall into place. At the end of the day no woman wants to be with a broke guy. Women can be found EVERYWHERE!! Its harder to find the ideal job, that includes good pay, benefits, profit sharing, bonuses, advancement, and will provide you great work experience which you can use to transition somewhere else. You need to think long term.

So if someone made $70k in IA and took a job in California for $110k then they screwed up big time.

Moving to a small town of 20k isn't that bad when it has a fortune 500 company there. It probably dominates the city. You'll meet some nice Midwest females that you can spin plates with. You'll be in the top 5% of the US which put you in the top 5% of the world. Spend one year focusing on you and and the women will follow. I wouldn't even tell the woman im leaving. I would just leave and start new life. This is a slam dunk decision.

The right advice without doubt. A few years ago I wouldn't have advocated being so cold, but there's no reason to risk drama with modern women that age. No reason to deal with the waterworks either. There's about a 0.000000000001% chance it could have worked with her and those odds favor being practical and not a sap.

To the gentleman that submitted this good question. When this woman begins to turn on the sadness card and act like you are her everything, don't fall. Stay strong, women are prone to narrsacist behavior and guilt is their best buddy. Take it from me, being a yes person can hold you back tremendously in your life. The women that I said yes to, are nowhere to be found. As men we take pride in chivalry and responsibility and doing what's right. Hell yeah take a 50% raise. If monogamy's your goal - you'll probably find better female relationship potential in the u.s. midwest than Southern Ontario anyways, it's just a smaller pile of em to pick through.

Very true. A multi millionaire in oil once told me. “ chase money not women.” “Then women will chase you.” That changed my life. Since then I got my money up considerably. Haven’t really tried to pick up woman since that conversation. My dating life has never been better:

Odds are, that women could leave him right after she gets the green card. ive seen it happen to friends of mine who married asian women. Take the good career, take care of yourself, worry about finding a good woman AFTER you find your ideal job.

Question International Mens day is coming up and I don't know what to give my Male friends. I saw that you recommended a book. Is there a list of books you recommend? What else can I give them to build their self esteem and masculinity? Some do not read books. Thank you

Chase Excellence is a fine theam but today its Disney Shit.... Rich excellence itself is being defined BY WOMEN. are you paying attention or shilling books??? Men should define excellence not the status quoe

Excellent advice. Get out of Canada if you can. Taxes and the government scrounging for cash is going to intensify like never before in the coming years to pay for the pandemic. Limited cross border travel is economically advantageous for the CND Government, keeps the cash at home if nobody is going anywhere!! He maybe surprised small town women make better mates!

This dude is seriously considering not taking a far better job because of a woman who's a couple years away from her wall? Yeesh. Oneitis is a bitch. Dude, if you read this, and you're concerned with being in a tiny town, just take the job for a few years. Save a ton of money, then take another job in a big city, and you still won't even be in the prime of your life.

Cities are shit, small town America will remind people of what being a Human is about. If the dude moves he will totally meet someone, even in 20k town. Get out there meet people and they will point you towards the good ones.

Having grown up in a town of 20000 in the midwesr I'm going to say if you have it all together the women come to you .. however there isn't as many choices but it only takes one good one .. and having all the outdoor activities is so much better for me than living in a big city

Canada is such a BAD place for single men. The demographics are just beyond sad, there's absolutely NO WOMEN. I'd say the west coast (Vancouver) the ratio is pretty much 10 men per woman. Because of the job market, men flock to the area, virtually throwing the balance off of the scale.

I noticed that as my city is growing in population (immigrants), it’s become more and more rare to see a pretty gir. Crazy how life is becoming unaffordable and there’s less pretty women around. It’s actually really fucking weird.
