I feel like the ELO system should be based on the round difference and individual score on the leaderboard. That way the closer you are to a tie the less ELO you lose. If you top frag in a losing team the loss of ELO would be minimal compared to the bottom frags. That way it would make it rewarding to tie matches and perform your best.

I've stopped playing Premier. Low ELO matches are awful, and once you're down there it's so hard to get out. I got so sick of top fragging on my team and losing every single match, because I'm not that good and if I'm top fragging, my team mates must be truly awful. Precalculating ELO gains/losses and having them tied solely to win/lose sucks. There's no reward for performing well on a losing team, and it gets super demoralising. If they were to calculate ELO round by round and only show you the net result at the end of the game, I'd come back in a heartbeat.

They should do the rankings like Rocket League where if you're playing with a lower rank, they play at YOUR RANK, not somewhere in the middle. If you're 10k but paired with a 3k, you should play at 10k, not 7k.

Back when cs:go ranks were really broken(few years ago) I was stuck in silver 2. I would always queue with friends (s3-nova1) and occasionally they wouldn’t be able to play and I would solo queue. I quit playing because as a silver 2 I got sucked into a fucking LEM game. The next lowest rank in the whole match was double AK. And then my silver 2 dumb ass. Shit was broken and will always be broken.

All jokes aside CS is in such a bad place rn with the matchmaking and ranking system. Its borderline unplayable you either get a team who have mics but wont use them other than to complain or ask for a drop, a team who also have mics but don't speak English, and a team with good comms and have knowledge of the game but the mis-match is just insane because the other team is a 5 stack that are 3-4000 elo higher then our teams highest. I thought FaceIT would be better but I've played about 15 games of it so far and only had 4 games where people spoke English and were decent teammates. :(
