I appreciate you using impervious to describe a honey badger's skin towards bee venom. So many use the word "immune" which would be incorrect. Honey badgers have died of multiple bee stings. They're just so determined that they'll keep on going unless they've died or had their fill.

@@shen-long9082 No, there aren't. If we can't know that we understand each other correctly, all negotiations, agreements, plans, laws, treaties, rules, regulations, information, etcetera, become vague suggestions, at best, and meaningless nonsense, at worst. The difference between _immunity_ and _protection_ can actually be determining in a number of very important contexts, including politics, law, medicine, rescue operations, war, natural disasters, and more. So, I'm sorry, but while we're solving the World's problems, we're going to need you non-verbal troglodytes to step aside, and to stop your annoying gurgles. All of that said, honey badgers do have a bio-chemical resistance, or, put differently, a limited immunity, to many types of snake venom. That doesn't mean that they never succumb to the effects. If it's enough to kill a human, the honey badger will walk away, unbothered. If it's enough to kill ten humans, the honey badger will walk away, unbothered. If it's enough to kill a honey badger, it'll die. It's possible that this immunity doesn't extend to bee venom, and that they exclusively rely on their thick skin, when dealing with bees; I can't recall any information specifically on that, and a quick search revealed that it would probably take more time to find than I'm willing to spend. I will definitely click on a link to information on honey badgers and bee venom, specifically, though, if someone provides it. Regardless, even if the honey badger's immunity doesn't include bee venom, I'm inclined towards forgiveness for those who assume that it does.

I told my oldest son not to get close to it while I called animal control to move it to a bigger pond. Well my son didn't listen and it stripped off several layers of skin from the base of his thumb. It was a alligator snapping turtle. I said well you should be thankful it didn't take off your thumb and next time you will trust when I say not to touch.

When I was about 9 years old, I accompanied my father to the funeral of a friend of his, someone who I didn't even know. When we got there, I stayed in a corner waiting for the time to pass. Then a man approached me and said, 'Enjoy life kid, be happy because time flies. Look at me now, I didn't enjoy it.' Then he passed his hand over my head and left. My father, before leaving, forced me to say goodbye to the dead person. When I looked in the coffin, I was horrified to see that the man in the coffin was the same man who had spoken to me! I was so traumatized I couldn't sleep properly. I had terrible nightmares. I was terrified of being alone. I couldn't sleep without a night light for many years. I saw many psychologists, endured much turmoil throughout my adolescent years. It got better as I aged, but I would still occasionally wake up screaming in fear. Years later, I discovered something incredible that changed my life. *The dead guy had a twin. 😆😆

11:15 actually, it's NOT honey badger's thick hide that protects it from stings, it's related to pigs and another species or two that have mutations that make them almost immune to venom, and mother badgers train their young on weak venom insects like baby scorpions to build tolerance. their hides ARE super tough though 17:00 I KNEW IT! A few years ago, I kept chasing a pelican that I was sure was trying to sneak up on one of the sleeping ducks and gobble it! It didn't forget me either. About the parasitic wasp 0:49, wasp larvae can spin their own cocoons. The caterpillar does get protective of the wasp cocoons as it eventually dies. No way it swallowed and digested it and got impaled in areas not located anywhere close to its digestive tract. Or, it's possible the porcupine fell on the snake and it jerked a few times, impaling itself in the process of trying to defend itself, given porcupines have a penchant for falling out of trees.
