The queer subtext throughout the 3 seasons was so good and done perfectly. I didn't notice at first but upon my rewatches I saw it. In season 4 when Will poured his heart out to Mike in the pizza delivery van, I was like "okay, there it is." It's heartbreaking though. Having a crush on your straight friend is a struggle.
