Meritt Wever is such a great actress, her tone, her attitude, mannerisms on-screen is so beautiful, I watched her on a show called unbelievable and she was so intense, yet calm and so natural. Loved that show, both the actress Toni Collette and Meritt Wever did a tremendous job, I am a forever Toni fan, even Katylin Dever was phenomenal.

blognewb, there is no link. Zooey is just kind of screwy & scattered sometimes, and right in the middle of dinner, she suddenly realized her co-workers were gay. She sometimes doesn't "get things" right away....like way later than other people do. And yet she sees small things that others don't always notice. Zooey is a great character and Merritt is an even better actress.

Everyone else at work knew these guys were gay, but Zooey didn't pick up on it until just that second, and the timing was totally random. I've watched this episode a bunch of time already. +Ana Nouri Ana I just recently started watching this show. I absolutely love the Character. Merritt plays her perfectly. I had my own "Zoey moment" about 16 years ago. The radio station I worked at at the time got a new program director. He came into the studio one day. He says "Hi I'm Mike and this is my partner Patrick". I was like "Ok nice to meet you but since when do program directors have business partners?". He replied "They don't". I thought for a few seconds and "Ohhhhhhhh ok.........I get it now". It was absolutely hilarious!

He vicariously thought the patient was doing it for that, so then he shaved the patient by mistake while that thought was still in his head.
