You know why I have a delusional belief that I could drive in F1 with a bit of training? Because Brad Pitt has been driving an F2 car around at decent speeds and he is 60 years old. I think with a few months of training and instruction most young healthy guys could do it. Also I’m pretty sure Tom Cruise took a Red Bull F1 car around the track at a good pace a few years back when he would’ve been in his 50s. I’m not saying we could get anywhere near acceptable lap times, of course those few seconds are the difference between the absolute best in the world and thousands of wanna be F1 drivers. But I think we could do it

when they say ‘good pace’ there most likely 20-30 seconds off per lap

Im also a Kart Racing Driver and I can tell it is really competitive, fast, dangerous, and very expensive. Motorsports is a talent wich no one can do it like in a few days.

Yeah! It's a lot more difficult than it looks! And even if you have the talent, the physical toll of the top class is mental. Also, while I didn't mention it, the mental strain of that level is unreal. We would most likely feel the pressure just as Perez is too!

Everybody can be a Lance Stroll. Also modern F1 cars are relatively easy to drive. (In comparison to the real monsters of the past). But the WindowLicker is proof that anyone with no mentionable talent can be an F1 driver if given enough training. I'm 100% convinced of this. A Champ is a different story, but everyone can get to the level of Lance.
