Logically speaking, if the moon was proven to have split by outside sources, it would be easy for Orientalists to have said the Muslims simply ascribed some moon splitting event to Muhammad ﷺ. Moreover, a random Roman in the middle of the medivial age would have zero reason to belief the Prophet ﷺ was truthful about his attestation to the miracle. The only people who could actually say the Prophet ﷺ by the will of Allah had the moon split were the actual pagans who asked for the challenge.
@231doughboy3 жыл бұрын
I think another part of it - which you sorta touched on - is that the Sahaba knew it as a known fact. Imagine there being a verse in the book you follow talking about the moon splitting. If it didn't happen or if there were no witnesses, then surely some would've just left Islam. But as you pointed out, we have narrations of companions who were eye witnesses. Unless people want to act like there was one huge conspiracy. But then, they'd have to figure out why some of these conspirators would willingly take part in this, knowing that being Muslim in Makkah at the time is directly putting their lives at risk.

"Hamza's critical analysis of character of Prophet Mohammad" argument: 1. Was prophet Mohammad a liar? =) Human beings lie due to their motives. If there is no motive why should a person lie. He was known as truthful and trustworthy before claiming prophethood. People used to keep their bailment with prophet Muhammad pbuh. Because they knew that this person will never cheat. When two tribes went in conflict, they used to call prophet for making a decision. What was the emergency to lie after spending 40 years of his life. Let us analyse all the possible motives. Money: We know that prophet Mohammad pbuh was married to richest women in Mecca. After claiming prophethood, he became the poorest in the city. His wife Aisha RA narrates that for 40 days there would be no food to eat except dates.He was offered too much money and status by the pagans to stop preaching the message but he denied it by saying "Even if u keep sun in my one hand and the moon on the other, even then I won't stop preaching this message of truth" . And by the way inventing a religion is the last thing that a person will think to earn money🤑😂 Fame : fame without money and luxury is useless. After claiming to be a prophet, he and his companions had to face oppression and severe torture in Mecca. Due to which they had to migrate to Madinah. Even there they were attacked by the mushriks of Mecca several times. What kind of motive is that and why would a person spend his whole life to gain such a fame? 🙄 Women : Prophet got married first at the age of 25 with a widdow who was 15 years elder to him. All the marriages that he did were non virgins except one. He also commanded women to cover their body after maturity. Will a man with lust do that? Also he prohibited illegal sex. People believed he was a prophet and he could have easily allowed that. Creating a new religion for women is the last thing a person can do🤣 Here we exhaust all the major motives of Prophet being a liar. 2.Was prophet Muhammad crazy? =) For a non Muslim's perspective this claim may have a stand. But being a Muslim I can only laugh at such a claim. If this claim is true that means 120k companions was following a crazy man. If this is true then 2 billion people on the earth are supporting a crazy man's theology. Can a crazy, illiterate man create a book which has no contradiction and errors in it, has grammatical miracles,has true prophesies, has guidence in every aspect of life such as family, governance,marriage, divorce,defence, morals and all the social issues u can think of . Answer is Nooooooo..... 3.Was prophet Muhammad deceived and misguided by Satan? =) The only people who make this claim r the Christians. The first question you should ask to yourself is what is the need for Satan to kam and miss guide people who were pagans and worshipping 360 idols? What need does the Satan faced to bring them to worship one true God? The Christians at this moment claim that satan wanted you not to believe in Jesus's divinity and sacrifice. But wait a moment, those pagan arabs did not believe in Jesus's divinity and sacrifice even before. And according to Jesus, Satan can't curse himself or can't destroy his kingdom. Every tym Muslims start to read the quran or starts a good action, it is recommended that he should take refuge from the acursed Satan. I think Satan want u to curse jesus and Paul does that😇 4. After exhausting all the possibilities, we r left with him pbuh being truthful.
@hilalaydin37192 жыл бұрын
I have also heard about the claim that maybe he was such a good person and saw how many bad things happened around him that he wanted to change it. But this would mean lying to so many people and allowing so many people to die during war including his loved ones, which would then make him a bad person, which he was not. One could argue that he had to do it for the greater good, but as a person who hated injustice his whole life, I don’t think so..

It would be stupid to invent a religion for wealth or women (and he was not stupid as his accomplishments prove). However the fame part should be expanded on because religion is the biggest way to fame (the most famous people are the religion founders) and people want fame even if they have to give up luxury (even if that fame is notoriety). Anyway this can be answered by multiple facts. For example he could have preached a paganism mixed religion which would have more probability to succeed in arabia. And he didnt need to introduce laws like prayer (even during battle and the threat of enemies) which would only be burden for himself and his followers.

I recommend everyone read the book The Last Messenger by OneReason, it's free Alhamdulillahi. It completely obliterates the idea of having ulterior motives/drives to preach the message of Allah, simply leaving the kafir dumb-founded and confined from attacking the message
@Hydrogen9999Ай бұрын
@@cowdyayaad6378this fame argument can't hold up due to the non-delusion argument. The Non-Delusion Argument: Insane and delusional people generally have difficulty in distinguishing between what is real from what is false. They are willing to use any evidence that seems to support their claims. One life-changing incident, which keenly demonstrates that the Prophet kept a rational and honest head at all times, was in the aftermath of the tragic death of his infant son, Ibrahim. Ibrahim died following a short illness and after he was buried, there was a solar eclipse. Some Muslims claimed this phenomenon was a 'miracle' and began spreading this idea. The word went out saying the Sun was eclipsed in sadness over the death of Ibrahim. Upon hearing this, Muhammed responded: "The Sun and the moon are signs of God. They are eclipsed neither for the death nor birth of any man. On beholding an eclipse, therefore, remember God and turn to Him in prayer." An insane or deluded person would have agreed with the people, especially since such a thing was a common belief at the time: "See! This is the proof I'm a Prophet, even the sun and moon respond to my grief!" So that's the argument and put very simply, why wouldn't He Allah's peace be upon him use this as his claim to fame...?

Not only is there a manuscript but there is also a building that accompanies it. The cheraman juma masjid was the first ever mosque to be built in India and it's architecture dates back to the seventh centuy, moreover local history about the mosque's origin tells a similar tale of a King seeing the moon split and going on a journey to meet the Prophet. There's also the Malik ibn Dinar mosque in the same area which is named after the arab traveller that accompanied the king back to India and had the mosques built in his name also in the same architecture of the time period which would support the authenticity of the report.

The critics raise two kinds of objections against it. In the first place, they say it is impossible that a great sphere like the moon should split asunder into two distinct parts, which should get hundreds of miles apart and then rejoin. Secondly, they say if it had so happened, it would be a wellknown event in the world and would have found mention in the books of History and Astronomy. But, in fact, both these objections are flimsy. As for the discussion of its possibility, it could perhaps find credibility in the ancient days but on the basis of what man has come to know in the present day about the structure of the planets, it can be said that it is just possible that a sphere may burst because of its internal volcanic action and its two parts may be thrown far apart by the mighty eruption, and then may rejoin under the magnetic force of their center. As for the second objection, it is flimsy because the event had taken place suddenly and lasted a short time only. It was not necessary that at that particular moment the world might be looking at the moon. There was no explosion either that might have attracted the people’s attention; there was no advance information of it that the people might be awaiting its occurrence and looking up at the sky. It could not also be seen everywhere on the earth but only in Arabia and the eastern lands where the moon had risen and was visible at that time. The taste and art of writing history also had not yet developed so that the people who might have witnessed it, should have made a record of it and then some historian might have gathered the evidence and preserved it in some book of History. However, in the Histories of Malabar mention has been made of a native ruler who had witnessed this phenomenon that night. As for the books of Astronomy and Calendars, this event might have been mentioned in them only if the event had affected the movement of the moon, its orbit and the times of its rising and setting. As no such thing happened, it did not attract the ancient astronomers’ attention. The observatories were also not so developed that they might have taken notice of everything happening in the heavens and preserved a record of it.

Premise 2 now according to the disbeliever The only person who would lie in this instance is a person who believes in the religion this would never happen because the person who lied would also have to believe word of god would not be saying the truth. premise 3 no one could have possibly lied premise 4 the splitting of the moon did happen because the only option of doubt has been eliminated out of the equation

Another thing: those Sahabah also say an eclipse happened, and when the people said this was because of the death of the prophet’s son (saw) he (saw) came out to the people and in no uncertain terms told them the moon and sun don’t eclipse for ANYONE’s death, but that they are only signs from God. It simply doesn’t make sense for them to narrate this story, but simultaneously collude in fabricating the moon splitting. Unless of course they genuinely believed it happened. Also, how come the Quraysh never openly said the moon wasn’t split? How come they said it happened, but it was only magic? It’s because they did experience it. But because they are a superstitious people, they attributed it to magic.

So the people said that the sun had eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life (i.e. birth) of someone. When you see the eclipse pray and invoke Allah."
