Over 20 years later and I still don't fully understand how they recorded such a blissfully imperfect, virtually perfect album.... There are a few lines in a few songs that come across as slightly juvenile, or at least purposefully inflammatory in an obnoxious way. But for its age, its content, its recording quality, its political incorrectness... for a, what almost 25 year old punk rock record, (⏳ TWENTY FIVE!!!! ⏳) it STILL hits so fucking hard, it still sounds so fucking good, its still as fucking politically and socially relevant as it was then. I have shared with a drug prevention group -here in Australia...its amazing what people can achieve when they find the song in their hearts - when it feels right....sing about things that mean something to you....and realise that being another victim to the substances - that start off as fun....is not something that we have to do.....and I might sound like a preacher- but I am tired of hearing about all the people dying from overdose.....fuck that! Do what it takes to get away from the ugliness....and desperation! its not freedom - to be hooked - day after day to a substance that distorts the reality and traps us in the same old shit!
