I still lived with my fucking parents too and lived on a shoestring, and I STILL live with them because life is too fucking expensive. I'm 46 now. Same story. Chloe Burns I am more a metal, rock, and classic punk and new wave, been jamming lots of Iggy Pop and Stooges stuff lately ( check out Raw Power and Funhouse from Stooges, and New Values, Zombie Birdhouse, Post Pop Depression, and The Idiot by Iggy Pop) Anyways, I remember around 99 or so seeing Dropkick Murphy's, Strung Out and H8 Machine at Laga in Pittsburgh. That was my only true punk show, but I've seen some good punky metal bands over the years like Motorhead, Gwar, Hatebreed , and Slayer. I've never seen Iggy Pop, I'll be lucky if that happens, though he just toured 2 years ago at 69 years young with a band of Josh Homme and Dean Fertita from Queens of the Stone Age and Matt Helders from Arctic Monkeys. They were supporting the Post Pop Depression album and did alot of songs from The Idiot and Lust for Life albums from 1977. He was one of the founders of punk with Stooges, his first 6 or 7 solo albums were early prototypes for New Wave, Post Punk, Grunge, and Gothic. The dude is called the Godfather of Punk, but he and David Bowie were also among the first New Wave artists. Iggy's solo albums are to Stooges as Public Image Limited is to Sex Pistols, but Iggy released 3 or 4 solo records by the time PIL released their first. It's cool stuff, enjoy 😉

I saw LagWagon at a little club in my city twice in the late 90s, while I was in high school. I don't remember much from those concerts, but I do still distinctly remember them playing "Sleep". The bassline would start, I remember everybody cheered, and then the whole crowd, like everybody in the crowd, would sing along to "HI IT'S ME. I'M BOOOORED AGAIN...." and since that's a relatively quiet opening, you could hear everybody. I'm getting chills right now thinking about it.

One good thing to come out of this covid-craptastic-year has been rediscovering all of these fucking phenomenal bands that I've managed to forget as I grew up and got old( i was 16 in 1996, ugh...) because life just flashes by you, one day you're just a kid in this stupid world, then you go to sleep one night and wake up in your suburban home, ring around your finger, the room is spinning around and your pants are falling down, you realize how little you really know, and rotten apples are all you see, but then you look out at the starry starry night, and realize that, try as they might, they still can't succeed to make you bleed, yeah you've you had some fun, it wasn't all California dreaming and swollen eyes, you had to wait for the sun, and you've learned to hate you( its true), your credibility has all gone away, but you come out to that talk show, and share everything you know, still dreaming of those country roads, the place where you belong, and you realize that its really true what they say," you may be older and fatter, but at least you survived 2020" .... My older brother bought this somewhere, I listened to it so much. Young days skating and being a lil delinquent punk in the 90s, soo good.

Wow, thanks for this. I know I have this in my CD collection somewhere in my house. This was the best compilation back in the day!

This was one of the hardest sample platter ever! If it wasn't in my cars CD player someone was loading it up before the night was over! Regular rotation forever! The 90s were too good!

I did, and it is one of the best purchases I've made! Even if I did pay way too much, since it's out of print. :/

The only bands i didn't see live from this comp was Frenzal, Hi Standard and Wizo, my old band actually opened up for Propagandhi right before their More Rock Less Talk album. I saw all the other bands in their prime and i say that because even though most of these bands are still around they're not as good.
