Thank you for this video. I never knew that you can propagate marigold cuttings. My eyes have been opened to possibilities.

Great! Try it. It doesn't even need rooting hormone.

Thank you. I will give this method a try. Slugs or earwigs got to some of mine. Maybe I can propagate some replacements for those that I have lost.

Liquid root hormone with fertilizer usually corrects the wilting phase for me at least I use to do the same water and under shade but sometimes I would get disease outbreaks so what I do is put the cuttings in water and add the product under instruction and I keep the flower and leaves on the I love this product it’s called root and grow by bonide not get paid for this but I have so much success

Instead of putting the seedlings in soil to grow roots, would it be easier to put them in water? Also, can the flowers stay on the stems while doing this? Thank you. I really enjoyed your video.

I am assuming you meant cuttings not seedlings. Ultimately the cuttings have to go in soil so unless it is difficult to root them in soil, I prefer to start in soil. I have never tried growing them in water. No you must remove flowers because they consume a lot of energy to survive and a cutting cannot provide that
