44:40 but L = D - X where D is the total distance of the transmission line. L is not simply -x , please correct me if I'm wrong!
@rahuladesh42608 жыл бұрын
you are wrong. Now think about the direction . you were travelling for left to right with was x and than start your analysis for right to left thus it is denoted by -x (L).
@abdelrahmangamalmahdy8 жыл бұрын
Rahul Adesh that's the slope but there's a constant missing here which's D "the length of the T.L." L = -x + D because L(0) = D not zero
@abdelrahmangamalmahdy8 жыл бұрын
Rahul Adesh I've almost completed this course and I don't find that D very effective, you'll get the same calculations at the end.. but it is a mistake he made. Nobody is perfect!
@rahuladesh42608 жыл бұрын
He has changed the direction of analysis. he does not simply replaced L=-X . A lot of thing has also changed like V+ value which was the value of voltage at source end after replacing it will be value at load end. I think you get my point.

There is whole team of iit faculty for creating a video. So there is almost a zero chance of error. If you find any error than i means you did not understand the concept properly :).

At 23:53 While calculating voltage at x=1,t=100nsec we don't know the phase at that position. But sir has taken the phase 30° which is the phase at t=0,x=0. So I think Sir is missing the phase at x=1. It must be something else. rectify if I am wrong.
@jacobvandijk65255 жыл бұрын
I think you are right. His calculation of gamma is wrong too.
@aniketsaha74554 жыл бұрын
30 degree is the initial phase associated with the wave..An additional phase is added to 30 with position and time..So the explanation is absolutely correct

@saisravanbharadwajkarri39257 жыл бұрын
Wait a min... shouldn't we consider V(total) = |V+| exp(-gammax) + |V-| exp(+gamma x) at t = 0 in which case both should be used when V total =8.66v (given). 8.66v*(1/cos 30 )= V+ + V- ; even if they are equal shouldn't each be 5v each ? Are we assuming there is no backward wave at the t =0, this would change if this t =!0 correct ?
@aniketsaha74554 жыл бұрын
@@saisravanbharadwajkarri3925 Indeed a good argument..I guess superposition is being used..so 8.66+8.663=2|V+|Cosine 30...2 gets cancelled

can somebody show me the calculation process of finding the (alpha - attenuation) and (beta - phase constant) ??? ..
@devbratsrivastava99879 жыл бұрын
+Mr. Martin You can find the quantity wich if under the root using any scientific calculator. After that, assume gamma=alpha+i*beta. Square both sides. you'll get 2 equations in 2 variables. solve. Alternately, write the quantity under the root in the r*e^theta form, then find the square root.
