This is an outstanding lecture. I watched the first five, and Dr. Shevgaonkar lectures are simply outstanding. From my experience in college, Electromagnetic and its derivatives are nightmares for most of EE departments. Congratulations on an exceptional Work. Keep the good Work ... Thank you IITM for bringing this to the public. Cheers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why we get complexity in measuring phase at high freqeuncy

at t=11:25 subtituted wrong intead α2π/β=1/100. got answer as R=0.5 Ω/m

no..You are using the condition that when wave amplitude decreases by 1%..But prof has used the condition when alpha is 1% of beta..

Mistake at 27:00. Standing V and I waves are out of phase by 90 degrees.

Why pure reactance does not absorb power??
@heyitsramann4 жыл бұрын
Going by basic definition of power i.e. p=vi and substituting the values of V and I in terms of sinusoidal function and integrating on the complete limit. The value will always come out to be zero. Hence we can say that it doesn't absorb any power.

@MeTubesguy85 you know what so sad, American universities have so much funds but yet the professors can't explain things properly. I don't expect them to teach but at least explain things properly.
@andrewmartin52048 жыл бұрын
Yeah I feel that, but thats cause they are not teachers, but get [aid most through their research. Some solely teach and they are just amazing
@aniketsaha74554 жыл бұрын
Our IITs and IISc lag behind the US, European universities because our fundings are very very less..
