The way I do it: 1. Remove leaves or gather any dropped leaves. Ones you remove will work better because the dropped ones may be old or dying. 2. Place on usual succulent soil, no need to wait 3. Place them in a bright sunny spot and forget about them 4. When you remember them after a while, spray the soil, but not the leaves because they might rot. Tiny roots will grow first and I like to spray them once to encourage them. Soon tiny baby succulents will grow!! I water these when the mother leaf dies and when they are big enough they get their own tiny pots.

Hi Eyeball Gaming. What you can do is leave the leaves in a box in a bright place for 2-7 days (I do that till you see them develop a pink tip, or callus), then transfer them onto moist soil. To prevent mushy leaves or leave rot, I highly recommend no watering till the leaves start rooting. Drip water around the roots to water, so that we can keep those mother leaves dry and long lasting. Ive been trying to break off the leaves exactly how you do it and everytime i try it breaks. Like the leaf is attached to the plant too strong and always breaks. I try to lift up and down numerous times and twist and i can never get the leaf off from the bottom part. Always breaks off just above the bottom part

Yes! You want a callus to form on the succulent leaf you plan to propagate(kind of like a scab!) just let it sit in a sunny dry place for a day before popping into a pot :)
