One of the things because I'm still in love with the Dreamcast, 90s and 00s punk-rock in most of Sega games... Maybe for you Americans it is normal, but here, in Spain, full of Flamenco, Pop, and shit, this was for me like the light I needed in this "place full of dark" (I was like 9 or 10 when I had the Dreamcast).

The weird thing is that a lot of media at this time period was doing the "twin towers being destroyed' and "9/11" in the same place at the same time. It's really weird, like VERY COINCIDENTAL.

I mean, in the wake of one of the most shocking and consequential terror attacks in US history, how the hell do you advertise a game like this without coming across totally tasteless and disrespectful? It sucks that that was the case but Sega thought of their reputation and bottom line made the choice they made.

The game completed production and was going to be released in late September 2001 but the terrorist attacks happened in New York City happened so they cancelled it near it's release date.

If this game had been released, it may have actually extended the life of the Dreamcast for a little longer, at least enough that a few more games would have been sold for it in the U.S., since they were making new games for it in Japan up until 2007.

I guarantee there are legit boxed copies of the retail version of game out there, and if so, they are worth a small fortune. The game had already gone gold, and was supposed to be released the week or so after 9/11.

@Giselle76502 Hahaha calm down, buddy! I run it on a Dreamcast emulator (Nulldc to be exact). If you do that, you need to turn Dynatec off. It will run choppy, but it is still playable.

If it was possible to bring down the towers by crashing into them, I could understand it being cancelled, but that's not that case. Seems SEGA had to cancel it because Americans have a tendency to be overly fucking sensitive about everything, and would of accused SEGA of being terrorist themselves, despite the game and level being nothing close to what happened on 9/11.
